[The only idea I’ve seen is to wait until morning and check out Ju-Ju House. There appears to be no dissent. To confirm, Jeremy does not know anything more about Samuel, or his past – they were homeless street performers together, but he never spoke of his history, and Jeremy never asked.]
Resolving to wait until daybreak to check out this lead, you all retire to your various places of residence (temporary or not), there to mull over the day’s events. Much had been revealed about Elias and his investigations – Silas N’Kwane has been connected to an address, the mysterious disappearance of the book he was searching for, and even a name has been found for his killers – The Bloody Tongue. A picture is forming, slowly, but there are still so many things unclear...
How does China come into play? Elias visited that place, as his publisher can attest to, but it isn’t clear why. What is the significance of the photograph there, or the matchbook from a Shanghai bar?
Many things seem to point to Africa, and Nairobi. This was where the Carlyle Expedition perished, where Elias first visited, and where shipments were sent for Silas N’Kwane. This is also the reputed home of The Bloody Tongue, and the mysterious Mountain of the Black Wind. Without a doubt, there is something important to this puzzle on the dark continent.
There is Egypt, as well. This is where the Carlyle Expedition originally went, and where Elias mentioned in his note that ‘the key’ was, to why they went to Nairobi. Egyptology was Sir Aubrey Penhew’s expertise. What was so important on the Nile? What ‘curios’ was Carlyle seeking from Faraz Najir? Perhaps it would be worth contacting the Penhew Foundation – after all, Elias carried a business card for an ‘Edward Gavigan’ and Kensington mentioned that it was the last place he visited.
And then there are scattered references to Australia, from the lecture of Professor Cowles. Are those massive pitted blocks somehow significant? Does the strange bat cult have anything to do with Elias, or his murder by the Bloody Tongue? Is it all just a red herring?
So many clues, possibly too many. But the immediate stands out: Ju-Ju House is here, in New York City. The name ‘Silas N’Kwane’ is the information that got one man killed, and made another disappear. What could it all mean?
[I’ll also take a moment to remind you guys of some of Elias’s crazier notes, the ones talking about a ‘psychoanalyst’s file’ and ‘the books are in Carlyle’s safe’. These need not be pursued, but I didn’t want anyone to forget them (online games are slow, I know).]

Late Morning
You all endure a restless but steady sleep, free from the nightmares of the previous night. The details of Jackson’s untimely death are easier to manage after a long day of research and investigation, piecing things together. Or perhaps it is just time...
In the morning, you congregate again at Sam’s office, preparing for the trip to Ju-Ju House.
