"Ah, good day to you, Biggle Burfoot! I hope we arent disturbing your mid-morning nap!" Saranac's usually bright demeanor is even more ebullient than usual. A bright clear day of Pelor's own making and the irresistible call of duty.
"We've just come back from speaking with one Elmo, captain of the town guard. Apparently there are men abroad in yellow robes, going by secret ways to an old temple north of town, a temple to a great and ancient evil. The captain has asked us to investigate the grounds of the old temple, and report back on the strength and activity of these yellow-robed fellows. For our part, Grimm, Kaz, and I have already agreed.
Will you come with us?"
Saranac looks briefly pensive. "The captain also mentioned a 'large reward', or something like that."

Kaz says nothing, but is mildly impressed with Saranac's way of handling Biggle. He knows how to work people, and how to get people to work. For a follower of Pelor he seems impressive.

Biggle quickly snapped awake and jumped to his feet, cought entirely off guard by Sarnac's announcement. "Well met, friends!" He relied, trying to down-play the fact that his nap had been interrupted. The halfling had barely swept the groggy sensation from his mind whe Sarnac began again. "We've just come back from speaking with one Elmo, captain of the town guard. "Proper conversation must be accompanied by food and drink," he declared. "What news of Lok'mar and Gwen?"

"Aye, and fine ale!" Grimm adds to the mention of food and drink. With that, he sits to eat and talk. He awaits any decisions that the group would make, content with simply adding his axe to the equation when needed.

Though I have not seen Lok'Mar or Gwen today, the day is still young. Hopefully they too will see the necessity of our task as readily and wisely as you did."

Gwen arrives at the inn with Lok'Mar to find the others have been back long enough for Biggle to have them all settled and organized with refreshments.
"Hello boys! sorry if we took our time. We found ourselves a fight whilst we were looking around."
Gwen goes on to excitedly explain what had happened and the information the trapper had given them.
"...so that was quite recently. We could easily find the tracks of the two that ran away and see if they do come from this big temple. Or umm, whatever."

OK, so we have either Temple or Moathouse?

As the others discussed the day’s events, Biggle thought about what he had heard earlier. There was something about what one of the guardsmen said that seemed familiar to the rosy-cheeked halfling. It was a name…Nulb. He thought he’d heard it before, but where? [Knowledge (Local) @ +5 for info. about Nulb.]
“We know there are mysterious men and hobgoblins in the temple to the north,” Biggle noted, recalling the options put before the group. “But what does the moathouse promise?”
He drank deep of his ale, enjoying the building camaraderie. After replies to his question and continued conversation, Biggle put forth another suggestion. “If we plan to go traveling about thwarting evil, I should think a proper name in order.”

Lok'Mar shrugs. "As long as it puts gold on the table and lets me bury my axe in a goblin or two, I don't care if we're called the Koom Valley Ballerinas."

Saranac looks a bit askance at the mention of the moathouse. "Who mentioned anything about a moathouse? I don't think the Captain told us anything about a moathouse. Is it a part of the Temple, or is it located somewhere else?"

OODM: I think there may of been some confusion between the moathouse and the temple. They are different places and the entire party has been told about both of them. For example, Lok-Mar and Gwen were told of the Dragon at the Moathouse. I'd best re-read what is written to make sure i havent confused you all.
Work is a stinker at the moment. Loads of people are away in my section so i'm up to my eye balls in soil to test. I'll try and get this soughted soon.

OODM: Yeah, posts 004 to 007 refer to the two places in question. Decide if you all to to one or the other (or even split the group and go to both is you want o mutilate my sanity ).

"My vote is this: We move to remove the threat from the moathouse first, as the temple will probably be their main base of operations, once that threat to the town has been eliminated then we follow up on our course of action by cleansing the temple and bringing the light of the Holy gods into the darkness of profanity." Kaz looks at it in a more strategical mindset, never leave an enemy at your flanks...

The mention of a dragon drew Biggle’s utter attention, causing the halfing to leap to attention- leaving him nearly standing in his chair. Hobgoblins and mysterious men were one thing, but “— a dragon!” he proclaimed. Biggle most assuredly was not in the business of chasing a dragon out of it's home. To choke himself from actually speaking the terrible thoughts that flooded his mind, he unceremoniously finished his ale. And ordered another.
“What have you gotten yourself into this time,” he thought.

Let our actions at the moat-house serve as our notice to those in the temple." [Hey Tembo, check this out: Sorry, but with me around, you have no reason to be scared of any dragon. ;D]

"So, when do we start?" is the only question on Grimm's mind. He's ready to scrap!

Gwen looks around, slightly nervously, as they ask. She leans in so those at the table can hear her well enough.
"The threats to this town don't need to be anything to do with me. Humankind destroyed my entire people. I owe humans no help with their troubles." "If the forces gathering here are evil humans and goblins though I am sworn to fight them. Killing them won't just help Homlett, it will help all Gnomes, Dwarves, Halflings and Humans they would ravage." "So count me in if you want my help. I do not see why we need to disturb some great big dragon though."
