Thurman, Rebecca, Sam, Tommy-The woman opens her mouth to speak, but suddenly bursts into tears. Her body shakes for several moments before she manages to choke out, “I saw... Joe!” She must be referring to the body.
At that moment, one of the uniformed officers steps over, a look of consternation of his face. “Ma’am, sir – I’m afraid you need to leave now, unless you have something more for the detective.” [Skipping ahead a bit to get things moving.] Urged to leave the scene, and knowing that revealing the truth might be problematic at this stage, Thurman and Rebecca leave the scene. Thurman seeks out a pay phone to make a call to Sam about the scene, [which has already been rp’d] after which the pair make their way back to Sam’s office, to meet up again.
They arrive well in advance of Sam and Tommy, who come bearing options for getting to London. But the question hangs unspoken in the air: should something be done about Jeremy’s disappearance, or would this be too dangerous? And if something is to be done, then what?List of clues

Well, it looks like folks are largely silent on the topic.
We have no way to try and find the kid. None. Unless we wanted to go around through the streets yelling for silas and his murdering bunch of freaks to take us to him. Yah, good luck.
"As much as it pains me, I do not believe that we can do anything for poor Jeremy. The only location we knew of was the Juju house, which is now under police investigation." Pausing to meet eash eye he continues, "Unless something monumental comes up I think we need to get out of town. London sounds like a good place to start. By working with the Penhew Foundation we may be able to retrace the original expedition or Jackson's trail."
While he'd much prefer to take the luxory ship, he somewhat understands the freighter approach; though two things come to mind. "If incognito transposrtation is what's offered, it seems logical to me that an organization such as this cult may well use similar modes of transportation to stay out of sight as well. I don't fancy spending several weeks trapped on a ship with homicidal maniacs. Second; we've all been recently interviewed by the police and if we slink out of town like thieves it will not endear us to the authorities. It may, in fact, make a return to this city harder in the future; and I don't fancy being a fugitive of the law."
"We should travel in comfort and in the open." He looks to the others to offer rebuttals or additional ideas.

Sam nods along to Thurman's explanation.
"Though it's absolutely galling, I must agree about Jeremy. The best we can do now is pray for him. If he escapes, he escapes, but we have no idea where he could be. "
Sam lets out a long breath to try and calm himself before continuing.
"I originally had those same reservations about travelling by freighter, Dr. Osgood, but I believe that we will actually be safer. Any cultists who may be looking out for us will probably assume we will travel on a passenger liner, which is faster and more comfortable. Also, if there are any unsavory characters aboard the freighter, they won't be able to hide as well as they could on a full passenger ship. We will likely be the only passengers on the ships Tommy and I inspected, and we will arrive with absolutely no fanfare. It may take a few days more, but I think keeping a lower profile will be beneficial.
It's bound to be more comfortable than a U.S. Navy troop transport ship, I assure you. We won't be travelling in luxury, but you should be comfortable enough."

"I suppose it depends on whether speed is more important, or maintaining a low profile," Rebecca muses. In this case I'd say staying under the police's radar is more important, but I suppose there are no guarantees either way about leaving the country completely unnoticed."

[There seems to be no argument about leaving Jeremy, but the mode of transportation appears to be under debate.
So far, I see one in favor of taking a public passenger liner, and another for a more discreet, if unusual passage by freighter. I'm not sure which one Rebecca is in favor of - the freighter would be more suitable to avoiding cultists, but would be the more suspicious route to the police, were they to find out about it.]

[Tommy and I are both in favor of booking passage on a freighter, as I see it.]

I think Rebecca is too, three to one. I'm just awfully afraid of becoming suspect #1 for fleeing police.
Truthfully I think I'd prefer to travel more openly and arrive sooner. If Thurman were to go it alone, he swould have extra toime to get the London resources together. All told He's no criminal and won't go ssulking about like one. He still believes that the freighter, where other underworld type business is welcome, would be a more likely place to find trouble (or be found by it as the case may be).
If need be Thurman will travel alone. He's sure the more witnesses are about, the less likely cultists will attack. Better odds that one among hundreds are not cultists than one among a few dozen too.

Tommy is definitely up for the freighter and isn't against Thurman going by himself on a quicker transport, provided he is careful.

[Thanks for clearing up the confusion, Udjat]
"Hm," Rebecca muses. "I would be surprised if any of these cultists actually tried to take any of us out on a public passenger liner--there'd be a lot of people around most of the time. I actually think I'll go the quicker route and go on the liner. Maybe it's actually a good thing that we're temporarily splitting up...maybe it'll confuse any of those guys who might be looking for us."
