I am going to be running a short game using the Call of Cthulhu system.
Call of Cthulhu is a survival horror Role playing game that takes place in a contemporary setting, where behind the scenes of the world are the evil machinations and plans of the Elder Gods, whose awakening means the destruction of humanity, the cultists trying to resurrect them, and all manner or strange and paranormal events that precede this time.
Warning: Call of Cthulhu is known for its high mortality rate; your Investigator can die, or go insane, but don't let that scare you away, because it is a genuinely great game, and if you are smart, you won't have to worry about it too much.
The Players will be provided with everything they need to create an Investigator.
An Investigator is what the PC is called because that is exactly what you do, you do not hack and slash your way through the monsters, because quite frankly, if you met a werewolf or a demon in real life, it would tear you to shreds and the mere knowledge of its existence would eat away at your sanity. What one does in CoC is investigate the problems and deal with them in anyway that you can, even if it means running away and never going back to "X" town again.
To cut to the chase I will be running an adventure called "I want you to kill the Ice cream man". The Adventure will take place in the 1990's in Arkham, Massachusetts.
I am only looking for about 2-4 dedicated players, the adventure is short for the most part and I hope will generate enough interest that the old Tabloid Truths campaigns will come back.
So Leave a message here and when we get enough interest we will get boards set up and I will post all the character creation information.
