Everyone-

Noting the unhappy looks of the club’s patrons idling outside, Grey wisely suggests that the group ride around town for a while to avoid suspicion. There is a considerable amount of time to burn, and so Tommy suggests swinging by the spice dealer to see if the man is at home or not. A slow drive past ensures that all the lights are off within the shop and upstairs abode, suggesting that Tewfik is either out or asleep.

That done, the four find somewhere to spend the next two hours until the appointed meeting with Tommy’s dancer. Rebecca questions whether this is an entirely safe course of action, but Tommy’s course is unwavering—this is, after all, his strongest lead.

[You can insert activities/preparations here. I will assume everyone will be well armed for the encounter, since you’ve got good reason to be paranoid (except Grey maybe). Note that firearms are very illegal in London, but I doubt that this will stay anyone’s hand. You can also pick up Sam at this point, if Maestro would like to rejoin the game (maybe he should sat out the club trip). Anything else, just let me know.]

Eventually, time ticking by mind-numbingly slow, the time arrives. You all travel back to the prescribed address, an intersection just down the street from the club—well out of sight of men idling outside of it, though the building is still distantly visible.

There, standing by a car, two women stand huddled in thick coats and hats, their countenances mostly hidden. One glances up on occasion, searching, and Tommy recognizes the exotic dancer’s eyes, still lined in makeup. When she catches his eyes, she smiles tightly, and gestures him over.

[Pause here for reactions, etc.]

[Grey probably wouldn't have a firearm in London, illegal as it is. He has all his heavy gear in Mombasa.]

Grey drives to the intersection, probably with the directions of Tommy, looking around warily, bending over the steering wheel at times as if to look further ahead, or around any turns. He clearly feels less than happy about returning so close near the club so soon, and it was obvious that he shared Rebecca's fears. He was not used to stalking through the night, driving through dark, small alleyways, meeting with total strangers to talk on murder cases, and Grey was out of his element. When he spots the two women, just before they get to them, Grey speaks softly to Tommy in the car seat besides him: "Can't we pick her up and drive around, ask the questions in some public or private place where it is more secure?"

{I'm just along for the ride, but would be glad to be away from here and potential ambush if it can be arranged.}

"Yes Colonel, Let me just ask these Egyptian women if they want to get into a stranger's car and drive around at night. I'm sure they wouldn't be frightened that we were trying to kill them in the least. Come now, you can keep the car running if we need to make an escape. Actually that's a very good idea, would you mind staying in the car, just in case? Anyone else that wants to come, you are welcome to come and listen." Tommy gets out of the car and waves to the two women, if anyone comes with him he'll motion to his companions, appearing to ask if the women won't be mad if they come with him.

Either way, Tommy will approach the women and extend his hands and introduce himself, "Tommy Cannon. Nice to meet you." he tries to stay as amicable and non-suspicious looking as possible, Tommy imagines that these women are more scared than Mr. Tewlik about getting hurt.

Gray looks to Tommy and then back to the two women, a little nervously. Then looking back over his shoulder very briefly to the others in the back of the car, trying to gauge whether they are at ease, he then stops the car for Tommy to get out and, before he does so, says to him a little absent-mindedly: "I'll do that, but don't take too long. And I'll sound the horn in case I see something suspicious, alright?"

Looking back again to the people in the rear, he says, looking mostly to Rebecca: "I'll wait here. If you should like to go then that's good, but I... multiple people make for a better watch than just one, no?" He had heard Rebecca say that she was afraid something might happen, and as far as Colonel James Gray was concerned, a young woman like her should not even be out in these parts late at night, let alone go to some secret meeting with strangers, and with everyone bearing arms and being nervous, especially if she would rather not do so.

If Tommy needs backup, Thurman will go along, none of us should be alone in troubling circumstances. He's packing his pistol under his coat, but he hopes that it should not become necessary.


{OOC: Latst week I caught part of Rush Hour 3, and in it, one person was looking for information about things the Triad didn't appreciate and one rather attractive woman offered to take him somewhere private and share information. She then tried to kill him. A lot. So in my OOC mind, this is a perfect setup. Two women, not intimidating in the least, and here we are asking about things that certain people do not wish to be known. Second scenario involves us talking to the ladies, then elaving (either normally or with haste as trouble shows up) and them ending up dead. Then we're reported at the scene not to mention the best suspects and further trouble ensues. Man I hope I'm wrong. Please let this go easily.}
