I only bought 4 boxes out of the last set, so I'm not doing too bad. KMan's not actually playing the minis game anymore, so the good news is that he's not spending all the wedding money on minis (boy would she kill him). I think if I only buy a few boxes from each set, I'll have a decent selection of minis to choose from for tabletop D&D, but also not so much that I can't handle them all. I can still contain all mine to one box, more than we can say for some other folk. Oh, and I think I'll pass on chore wars... not a good plan.

I have no clue how much I have spent on magic. I only have about 1700 cards, but that is spread out over 9 years.

I'm tired and I do not want to be at work today. I have to fix loads of broken things, none of which I much care about. It's 9:15, I haven't had any tea yet, and I am grouchy. When I feel like this, I can't help but go and put all the 4th Ed books in my Amazon basket and hover on the buy now button, or visit the wizards site to see what new magic cards have come out recently. Oh, and I really should order a batch of these D&D minis to see what that's all about.. Only kidding of course, but boy does a bum day make me feel like walleting out on some gamer gear. =) As for Warhammer Wicksy, I doubt I ever spent much in total over the ten years I played it between 11 and 21 - due to a simple limited amount of funds at that age. These days it just costs me a brush or two and some paint once in a while, and a mini here or there. Average £20 per month, say $40.? No, these days, my biggest expense is household bills, and I sure don't hold back on those! No sir, I really TREAT myself with those! > Bring on the recession!!!! BRING IT ON!! {When it hits real bad, I'm moving in with Wicksy and his Mum!}

Ah, expensive hobbies...I has them.
My bike crash, if you go by retail pricing, did almost $550 worth of damage...saddle, sunglasses, helmet, plus they cut my jersey and bibshorts off at the hospital. I haven't even seen the bike yet either, so I can't confirm that will be all...
Luckily I don't have to pay retail, but it's still a hefty bill.

I may move in with Wicksy and his mum too, but just because someone told me she was hot. I do still collect the D&D minis, but not as agressively as I used to. I will pick up one case after each release and if I don't get what I want/need, I'll seek it as a single. I haven't even bothered to complete the last four sets or so...I just don't care now that I don't play comptetively. It's still a great game table aid so I'll surely use them for that, but the last set REALLY declined in paint quality. If the next set doesn't pick out, I think I'm out for good.

I haven't even looked at it a second time -it's a minis game, not a RPG. 2nd and 3.5 for me now, all the books I need cheap from eBay.. good times.

But we can use them for accurate and fun representations of creatures in our tabletop 3.5 game. If they're not going to try and make them nice, they'll lose our sales.

But perhaps I am mistaken.

Well, spiral and i are used to playing without maps. Vivid descriptions and a certain artistic lisence during combat have been how we game normally.
A friend has been DMing some table top 2nd ed for us and we've used only one tactical map at the start of the 2nd book of three. It was an awesome battle with 5 level 5 PCs versus 14 trolls. The only time this far it was needed.
