The time has finally come.
The government has decided to tighten up its internet security at long last, which means my posting will become more difficult. While I could probably still access the site and post without incident, I would be doing it monitored, tracked, and filtered, which I don't much feel like dealing with.
What this basically means is that I'll be doing my posting in the evening and early morning only. I may still do some reading sparsely during the day, but I won't be around nearly as much. I should still be able to keep up with the games I'm in, but DMs should bear in mind when I'll be capable of posting--if it's the middle of the day EST and you're waiting on me, you'll be waiting a while.
For the games I'm running, this means something more significant. I will not be able to keep up the pace I've been able to do so far. I will try to keep myself on a steady schedule, but it will be about half as fast--at least for Chronicles (Masks and DS have been slacking a bit anyway). So this will be my new system. I will make a game post in the evening for Chronicles (since those post take longer than the other two). 24 hours later I will lock that thread, and make a new post for Dark Sun and Masks. I will be able to work on a new post for Chronicles during the day (even if I don't access the site), and so, the next evening, I will make a new Chronicles post and will lock Masks and Dark Sun. Then I will work on a new Masks and DS post to have up in the evening, and so on.
Essentially, the games will be updating every other day, alternating each day. I hope it works out that way. I've yet to see what weekends or holidays will do to that, as I don't really get online on the weekends, but we'll see. I do apologize in advance if my locking the threads cuts someone off from posting, but as I'm working on a post, it would be horrible to come home with a new post all prepared only to fine that the situation has changed because some folks posted while I wasn't reading the site.
Thanks in advance for people bearing with me on this. On the bright side, it means I'll basically be forced to turn more of my attention back to my real pursuit, writing, which is kind of a kick I've needed for a while. Maybe I'll post some of the fruits of my labor around here at some point.
