Tommy, William-William takes a careful set of pictures with his bulky camera, worriedly glancing at the window as the flash lights up the room. When he’s done, he moves to put the articles away again before Tommy stops him, insisting that everything be taken—well, just everything they can carry easily. Despite the allure of the golden mirror, Tommy lets it stay, and then makes for the downstairs door.
But outside, there might be trouble.
Thurman, Grey, Sam-
Deciding to try and seize this opportunity, the group starts to circle the block, hoping to come out at the other end of the alley and then ambush the watching figure. The cars rolls down the street to the next intersection, but as it passes a group of innocuously parked cars, one of them suddenly rolls out from its spot, a discreet distance from the trio’s vehicle. The headlights are off and the vehicle is almost invisible in the darkness, but the glint of light gives it away and Thurman spots the vehicle immediately. He even catches a scratch mark on one side, identifying it as the same vehicle that circled the block earlier.
Has it been waiting for them? It’s impossible to determine how many figures might be in the car, but it undoubtedly is following the group, if at a distance.
Now might be a bad time to get out of the car and try to ambush the watcher after all.
[William and Tommy are a little stuck until I know what the group in the car is planning to do.]

[The money won't be taken, otherwise they could really report the crime, if we only take cult stuff the cops will be suspicious.]

{I had initially meant to circle on foot, but this is fine too. No me getting jumped by myself. No stopping, we only need to be available to grab our guys when they come out. From there we need to try and lose these punks, but without impressive driving skills I'm not sure how that's going to work out.}

[Good eye, Thurman!]
Sam turn in his seat to eyeball the car following them.
"Ah, damn. I don't suppose these are the cops following us, eh?"
He looks nervously up at Grey and Thurman. "If we can lose them for just a few moments, we can make it back to the building. Maybe I can get out and meet Tommy and McGregor, then we can leave on foot while you lead the car on a bit of a chase?"
Sam shoves his .45 back into his jacket, and pinches his forehead, eyes squinting shut.
"If we turn off this road, and then take off, we can probably get a gap."

Grey looks briefly back to Sam and nods. He gives just a little extra gass to reach the corner before the other car does, and there he will give Sam a very quick opportunity to exit. "Be extremely cautious! Don't go back to my place or Thurman's at once."
Swallowing a lump down his throat and gritting his teeth, Grey immediately drove off, trying to lure the car away from the others. "This might get ugly," he says as he looks through the mirror to catch a sight of the other car.

{I'm confused.... is it safe to exit the car, like the other guys won't see us. If so, maybe it would be worth it to escape the pursuit and get back to the other guys. Thurman will only advise leaving if it looks like we could avoid detection of the fellows following the car. If not, then all we do is make ourselves vulnerable.}

[At this point, yes, exiting the car would be noticed. I thought Sam was taking that into account with his suggestion.
I need a decision here, else I'm going with Sam's stated action.]

[If he would be seen exiting the car, he wouldn't do it. The point was to somehow get far enough ahead of the other car, or out of line-of-sight, to be able to do a quick exit and hide. If it's not possible, he's stuck in the car.]

In that case, Grey will suggest simply picking the others up and drive to some secure place, if necessary a police office, but I'd prefer not to be trapped at one. At any rate going back to their own homes while being chased is a bad idea. So it seems like for now we'd better drive around town a little, hoping that these guys will sooner or later leave us. Unless someone has a better idea?
