I'm at a standstill in deciding what character I want to play (though I don't want to be a rogue- I have two on the boards, and one in tabletop).
Maestro, Wicksy, either of you settled on one yet?

TZS - Jael returns! Ranger
Yakumo - Jacob returns! Bard
Rojito - New Character? Fighter
MaestroXC - New Character
Badasterysk - New Character (NOT Rogue!)
Wicksy - New Character
TheUdjat - Durin status unknown
Ryngo - Reno's status unknown
So, for new characters, start workin gon the new sheets and post them up in the Random Acts Character thread.
1 - Point buy, 32 points
2 - Character will begin at 6th level
3 - Core races and core classes from PHB only
4 - Starting gold at DM's discretion (6th level gold, need to find that info..)
5 - 50% limit on single item purchase (whatever the total gold for 6th level character is, only half can be spent on one item)
Please note: I won't use any thing from books I don't have. So, here are the books I have:
Players Handbook
Dungeon Masters Guide I and II
Monster Manual I, II, and III
Complete Divine
Complete Adventurer
Complete Warrior

I'd go with sorcerer if I were you. TheUdjat made it pretty clear that he wasn't interested in playing Durin anymore, so there'll be no real casters, and sorcerers are more focused than wizards since they don't have to worry about those huge spell lists and other annoying crap.

I can go cleric or fighter.....i dont mind though i have two fighter guys on the go already in other games. Cleric would be fun i think  |

While we don't have a Rogue, I think Jacob is adequately Tricky enough to fill the role. As for Durin, Yeah Udjat said he wouldn't be playing him again so a little casting ability won't hurt.

Jael and Jacob managed to get some side jobs, and a little luck. Go ahead and add another 9k to get you up to speed. |

Well, I think just 8000, but all we have to do really is add on equipment to make sure that it all adds up to around 13k and we should all be cool I guess, considering none of the magical items save the sword were really meant for any individual person to benefit from at all times. I just don't want us to be the ones to hold the group back when we can't hurt something cause we don't have magical weapons or something like that cause we didn't get enough gold.
Also, I haven't leveled up to six. It should only take a few minutes once I get around to it, but I just wanted to make sure that we were supposed to. I know that the new guys are level 6.

Ahh money! the Bane of my existence, I never know what to get, this could be a problem. Plus I never have books on me. If anyone has suggestions for good items that might be useful for Jacob I'd be much obliged.

I can help you out in terms of getting all the essentials out of the way, cloak of resistence, ring of protection, magic weapon. that's about all you should need really. and then a few little add ons if you want. maybe boost up a stat or something if you have the money. Don't waste your time with disposable items if you don't want to go through the trouble of looking for them and don't think they will come up all that often,.
