[There seems to be a little confusion, which is probably my fault. The Chinamen have been coming and going from a different entrance, something on the far side from Grey/Sam. On the near side, where Tommy and the others entered, the shadowy figure is waiting. So by following the Chinamen, they won’t actually be exposing themselves to the shadowy figure. Not that one, anyway.] Thurman, Tommy, William-The squat Chinamen aren’t hard to follow as they begin to move away. With boxes and crates in tow, they move slowly but steadily to another entrance, moving out into the streets where the hush of waves can be heard not that far off. The warehouse is already close to the Limehouse docks, so it is likely that the group of men is heading towards a boat with their cargo.
It proves to be a fairly short walk. A few moorings down, a large, rugged, old craft waits, a platform from a loading crane hanging in wait. Other crew members move to help those carrying the cargo, and wordlessly, they begin loading the crates onto the boat.
The ship is painted white, though most of the paint is faded and worn. The name of the ship is still clearly visible along the side, labeling it the “Ivory Wind.”
The three can watch the whole process some distance off, crouched behind various detritus left lying around, but moving closer will certainly expose them to the rugged, ugly Chinamen. Sam, Grey-Sam and Grey continue to watch the warehouse, worried about the shadowy figure that continues to lie in wait. The Chinamen enter and leave, and as they exit from the far side of the warehouse, another group of skulking, hiding individuals can be seen following them at a distance. They are instantly recognizable to Grey and Sam, but only because they are familiar with the men—it is the trio investigating the warehouse. They are doing a fairly good job of keeping to the shadows
But Grey spots someone else moving behind them. Two men creep through the shadows, one of them gesturing at the trio, and Grey catches the glint of something in the hand of one—a knife, probably. The men are extremely good at sneaking, perhaps professional cutthroats, and they seem to be angling towards Tommy in particular.List of clues

{There's just too many theives around here. Sheesh. Hows an honest skulk supposed to get by around here?}
{Somewhat disappointed not to have seen the name of their previous clue painted upon the hull Thurman sighs in frustration. He had felt certain that the same boat their late friend found, would be slinking about at these docks as well. Turning his eyes to the other men he whispers to them. "Lets go, I've seen enough." He will then try to go back the way they came and out to the waiting friends.
(thankfully the thugs will think twice about shanking me, since I'm so freaking huge. Still carrying that crowbar too. [p.s. that's wishful thinking; bribe forthcoming if it gets us out unscathed.])

Will follows Thurman without saying anything, nothing said, nothing heard.

Grey's eyes widen in worry as he catches the figures with knives drawn skulking toward their friends. There was no more hesitation in the Colonel's voice now: "Time to be the cavalry, Sam. Get in the car!" Without further delay, Grey hopped inside behind the wheel, hitting the gas as soon as Sam was seated. "Give covering fire if necessary! Whatever is going on here, we're going to pick up our dear friends out of harm's way!" Depending on the amount of time he thinks he has before the stalking figures will meet the other stalking figures, Grey will measure the amount of speed and noise he will make with his car. He will drive past or through the bad guys, to stop where his friends are hidden, open the doors to allow them to hop in. "Quick, get in the car!" When all are inside, he will drive off and away around as many corners as he can to shake off any pursuers. [Unless Sam has a better idea, of course, but Grey takes the lives of his fellows above any further discoveries they might make.] 8

"Fine we're going, but don't relax until we are out, last time at Emerson Imports the Kid and I got busted leaving." Tommy's hand stays on his gun as the group makes to leave. He keeps a careful note of the ship and the things that he has seen at the docks for future reference. "I still think we should have taken one of these mooks and beat what they know out of them."8

Eyes fixed on the dark figures, Sam shudders, nodding his head quickly.
"Let's get over there, quick but quiet. We only start blasting if they're close enough to get the drop on our guys."
No time for more words, Sam scoots over to the side of the car closest to the figures as he taps Grey on the shoulder to start driving.
