I'd like to take over the Moonhaven 4th edition game if that is acceptable with Bluntaxe and/or the powers that be. I have no idea what the procedure is for changing the DM for a short game. Can I just continue things where they were left off, or do I need to start a new game for the players? I've checked with the players, and enough are willing to continue to make the game viable. Others could be added if someone else wants to try 4th edition as a play by post game. Edit: OK it's confirmed. I'm going to take my try and running the cursed 4th edition game

If all of the players are alright with it, there's no real reason why you can't take over DMing. Everyone who wants to DM play by post here is encouraged to test their hand at it in the shorts first, so once everything is straightened out with the players, just do your thing. There's no need to start a new game if everyone's happy with the current one.
You don't really need any special control over the boards in order to create and edit your own threads, but once everything is established it can be worked out for the sake of looking nice.
And if you think you'll be needing more players, you're more than welcome to put the call out.

Characters so far: Bharash the Dragonborn Wizard Doran Sharpblade the Human Rogue Gabullifax the Tiefling Warlord Harknail, the Warforged Paladin (NPC)
This gives us one of every role, but more players are welcome. You can either take over the character of Sanem, the Elven Ranger who is already in this adventure. Or I can introduce new characters (or both).
This is a 4th Edition D&D game. I only have the core books, but I do have a Insider subscription so other SwordMages and beta test classes and races will be allowed. Spellscared doesn't work in this setting however (no spellplague).

Moonhaven is now open again for a short time. We have 5 characters so we're good to go. But if others want to join in a 4th ed game now is a good time to do so.

Sure. The game hasn't moved for a while. I was waiting for one of the new players to post, and he never did. Must have dropped before the game got restarted. So I'll drop him and you can take his place.

The characters are currently second level. New characters start without Magic items, I then assign an Item or two equivalent to what the rest of the party has. I've started a roll call to see who's still in the game. Thanks for the nudge to get things going again

If they haven't given up from lack of activity, we have: Harknail: Warforged Paladin Laira: Half-elf Warlock Raylynn: Eladrin Artificer Zachary: Human Wizard Mellir: Orc Fighter
So far only Harknail and Raylynn have confirmed that they are staying...

Hi everyone. If you are still looking for players I was hoping to get back into the game.
What sources are we using for characters?

Hi everyone. If you are still looking for players I was hoping to get back into the game. What sources are we using for characters? Anything available in character builder. I'd prefer the old stand-alone character builder, but if you want something from the new essentials books, I can switch to supporting the new web based character builder.

Hi! I'm a new member of this forum, and looking to get in on the action. Any room left in this, and if so, how do I get started?

Hi! I'm a new member of this forum, and looking to get in on the action. Any room left in this, and if so, how do I get started? There's still room. I'm up to 6 players, I'll be closing submissions when we get to 8. Just post in the new roll call thread here to claim your spot.

Most of my new players (and old players for that matter) just stopped posting before we ever left the tavern. Now the last of the early players (besides me) is dropping as well. So Moonhaven once again has some open slots.
Post here if you're interested.

The monsters will be doing their best to kill you, but the GM is rooting for the players. If that's what you want to play, go for it!
