Merry Christmas everyone!!
Hope you all get lots of great presents and holiday joy, but mostly presents:) Oh, and food.
I'm counting down and ready to tear through some wrapping paper.
Have a wonderful day and be sure to spend the holiday season with as many family members and friends as possible. 8

Yes, merry (belated) christmas to you all. Like Shakes said, I hope you got all the goodies you wanted. For me, the holiday isn't over yet, we're having a delayed x-mas tomorrow, so we've got presents forthcoming.
Be well everyone and get ready for the new year!

I'm hoping to score a new guitar amp using the money i got as presents. I got some nice clothes for presents plus a load of sweets that i shouldnt be eating. I'm supposed to be dieting. Have been trying to control myself over the festive period. I'll have to rely on my roleplay group to help with the sweets. They're usually pretty good at stuff like that ;D

Some of my turtle and nerd oriented gifts
-galapagos turtle plush with a cool shell that its arms and head can actually go inside of -turtle earings -Glow in the dark dice that are only good for their novelty purpose 'cause the plastic is really crappy and the dice are all chipped and knotted (so don't buy them if you actually want to use them) and the numbers aren't even readable -A necklace featuring a d20 which can be replaced with any d20 to match every outfit. (and I have about 60 different 20 sided dice, so that shouldn't be a problem.) -A tshirt that says "The dice are killing me" -a magic 8 ball cause I'm indecisive
I also got lots of perfumes and smelly stuff again 'cause it's just the default gift for girls, and some nine inch nails Tshirts. But I got no cash and Lin's walking around with a wallet containing a dollar for every day of the year. . . lucky bastard.
But mostly I got to hang out with friends and family and eat and spend time together and that's always nice 'cause it makes people happy
Though I do have this issue with Christmas, how it does feel good (depending on who you are) to give gifts to people even though they don't get you anything in return. Though it kinda feels a little crappy to receive gifts from people without having anything to give them. Really weird holiday I'm not completely on board with 'cause it makes me sad. Plus the fact that people can be so greedy to the point where it's deadly, and I really don't think that's what santa intended when he invented Christmas.
Oh well
Now we have the new year to look foward too. I'm a little worried. But it should be good.

Yesterday we were talking about the thing that everywhere around the world people seem to have one christmas eve and then a boxing day, whatever that may mean, while we simply have 2 christmas days. An American guy asked me why that was so, and I didn't have a clue. I still don't, guess it's just commercial, as all we do is eat both days instead of giving presents as we all have had our presents on the 5th of december, so shops must've decided 2 eating days of lots of food is better than 1 if they can't sell us presents anymore. I did eat a lot the past two days though, but no presents. Not even a house.

Merry Christmas to everyone as well...in my usually late fashion for this time of year. My Christmas was alright, I have a very small family and Christmas has never been a big day for us so it was pretty average. The wife and I gave each other new windows for the new house and some smaller gifts while I got a few video games that I'm furiously playing before school starts again. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and Rock Band 2 to name a few. Nothing D&D related or even RP related this year...which is odd. Oh well, hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!

I'm glad to see so many pleasant Christmas experiences here. Christmas was nice, though by no means traditional for me. My family's mostly in Florida and Christmas hasn't been a big holiday for us since I was like 16. So no flights down south or anything for me. Normally I'd find myself over with Aegea's family for the holiday, but after a recent break-up (surprise for everyone who saw us on the cruise!) that was solidly out. I wound up hanging out with a couple of friends and having a very low-key events, which was actually really pleasant. There was minimal gift-giving, which was a plus since I haven't had much chance to get shopping done, and much communcal friendliness. I liked it. The rest of the weekend went pretty well, too, and now I'm back at work and kind of 'blah' about it, which is to be expected. Thankfully I'll get another day off this week as New Year's hits us, which has generally been a holiday I look forward to more than Christmas anyway.
