Due to some recent dropouts, I am willing to consider some new additions to the Call of Cthulhu game I'm running, Masks of Nyarlathotep.
We have five players currently, and I'd like one more player; two tops. Please see the campaign guidelines for details on character creation, or PM me for ideas on concepts that would fit easily with the current group.
Please PM if you are interested, anyway, just to tell me.

Due to another disappearing player, Masks is down to four active players. If anyone's interested in a world-spanning story of global conspiracy and horror, please come by and try it out.
I'd like to say there's ample death and insanity for everyone, but the current group has honestly done a pretty good job of being careful. Only one character has had to be replaced so far.
Anyway, newcomers welcome. This might be a good chance to give Call of Cthulhu a try if you've never played it before
Once again, in characteristic big letters:
CALL FOR PLAYERS! TWO SPOTS AVAILABLE!

Though I must surely be perilously close to begging by now, I will once again make the call for more players. We're down to 4 now, one of whom is Japic (so it's really like 3.5 ). So, if anyone wants to try their hand at Call of Cthulhu, now would be an excellent time. Maybe you can even get these guys to stop being such big old wusses and get something done.

I'd just like to point out that Tommy is borderline criminal and is all in favor of breaking and entering to get evidence and assault to get confessions...if he could only figure out who to assault.

Tommy at least wants to do something proactive! Everyone else is just talk, talk, talk....

Well isn't that what professors and retired colonels are supposed to do? But Grey is out of his element when breaking and entering. So we really need more people with less talk and more guts.

You mean you need people with balls. Unfortunately, they've a tendency to die... I keep reminding people--you can't 'win' Call of Cthulhu! The smartest thing for characters to do is to be cautious and avoid any kind of confrontation or risk, but that makes for a horribly boring game where nothing gets figured out. That's no fun at all. To truly enjoy CofC you have to be willing to do stupid and risky things. The coolest scene in Masks so far was breaking into the JuJu House, which led to two investigators dying the next game day. Exciting! Cool! But *sigh* so scary. Alas. Maybe if I make things more pulpy there'll be more interest... Frankly, I'm curious why this is the only game system Rojito refuses to play. For a while, Masks was the only thing keeping Rojito from having a character in every single game on these boards. I must know why.

lol i've played a touch of CoC, i dunno didn't find it all to my fancy, guess i am too Action Orientated... Tend to die alot, albeit my Parapsycologist is still up here somewhere from the older CoC i joined, i'd have to dig him out, or create a new one... If ya'll need another player i could totally join, i just dont want to end up getting everyone killed

If ya'll need another player i could totally join, i just dont want to end up getting everyone killed You can rest assured that all of them are going to die anyway. That's the fun part! Death and insanity! Hooray! The campaign was designed for 6 characters to stumble through, but it's expected that the cast will change on numerous occasions as tragedy befalls everyone. Thus far, the group has been pretty disaster-free, because they like to talk to people and leave everything to the cops (who then die and go insane in their stead). But it's assumed that the blood will flow at some point. Don't join if you don't actually want to. You'll just wind up dropping out, and that will make me sad. I was just curious why you seemed to steer clear of it.

Trust me Rojito, if anyone is going to be the cause of death to the group it would be Tommy (indirectly). In fact, my next course of action is breaking into Tewfik's house. I refuse to let this go, I can't tell if Udjat is just playing to Tommy's growing paranoia or not. But personally, Since our Boxer died and so did our sneak autistic assassin, we could use someone to help back up Tommy. So if you are looking for a more action-y feel I think now would be a good time if you are interested, as I'm probably going to be stirring the pot really soon.

Hey I'd totally be up for it then, a game where my character can degenerate into insanity as part of the plot? i love it , will have to look at the character sheets again, and will probably need some help making a character, but i am sure i can come up with something.

Sam has a very good reason to be hesitant; he's the only surviving member to be injured in the initial fight in the hotel room; nearly cleaved in half.
At least that got him to start carrying a piece; eventually he'll take a shot at somebody.
On that note, is he at full HP now, or what? How long does it take to heal?

I imagine that he would be at full HP now because of the long trip to London. Don't take my word for it, udjat might have other plans for health restoration.

I totally forgot anyone was down HP.
Recovery is at a rate of 1d3/week. It's been approximately 2 weeks since the campaign started (almost 3). As such, Sam has regained somewhere in the vicinity of 2-6 HP.
Yeah, it's slow. That's the world for you.

I don't think you need to give up your spot since we were down two players. I'm sure Udjat would agree. I would be happy with more players, more balance, more action.

The campaign started with 7 players. We're down to 5, including Rojito. There's plenty of space. Yakumo or Rojito can help you through the creation process.
