ok guys i need a ruleing from the best minds Kmans has to offer. There is a certain Prestige class whose name this thread bears the title of. The Exotic Weapons Master prestige class focuses (obviously) on exotic weapons, and has 'tricks' to make them better. My question is about one of these tricks.
"Twin Exotic Weapon Fighting: When wielding the same light exotic weapon in each hand, the character is treated as haveing the Two-weapon Fighting feat. If he already has the feat, the epnalties on attack rolls are lessened to -1 for both the primary hand and the off hand when fighting in this manner."
I was wondering if instead i cuold use it with an exotic Dual Weapon. If i cant then the only other "stunts" i can use with my weapon would by Flurry of Strikes and Double Weapon Defence. Which are potent in their own mind, but i get a "stunt" every level for three levels. If you wish to look at the class it is on page 30 of the Complete Warrior.

Exotic Weapon Master? Not sure how I feel about that class. I still kinda miss the old Exotic Weapon Master that could just use every single exotic weapon out there. But about your questions... Based on the wording of the trick, I'd say it really only applies to a light exotic weapon. If it just said 'same exotic weapon', I'd argue that holding a Dwarven Urgosh in both hands counts. But that's not the wording. Flurry of Strikes is nice for a dual-weapon wielder, but Double Weapon Defense is just the same thing as the feat 'Two-Weapon Defense', except without the Dex requirement. Aside from those two, there's also 'Show Off', 'Throw Exotic Weapon' (hilarious), 'Trip Attack', and 'Exotic Sunder'. Not that any of those are extremely great, but they're options. You could always just take your two tricks and then leave the class. Nothing says you have to do all 3 levels.

I was wondering if instead i cuold use it with an exotic Dual Weapon. I can't speak to tricks for the class, but the rules on dual weapons includes this line: They're not light, they're one handed and light. So by the rules, no. Those are usually guidelines however and a GM could homerule against it.

Yeah, I'd let it work. The Tempest gets a similar ability, only it applies whenever they are TWF, and this only works with a specfic weapon.
