Good to also see the original players migrating back here. It will be good to get them back online and playing.

You might want to remove the 'expected end date' line, as we basically have no expected end date for any of the games in progress And I can see of no way to actually foresee the end of a game. A lot of it depends on how the action goes. Also, Arclite isn't involved in Shards anymore.

Of course Lin would consider himself the most good looking person on the forum.
I'm not sure if I should try and join anymore games. I think I need more avenues to express myself in but I'm not sure which games can handle me.

Shakes, join Dark Matter, somebody's bound to drown soon, you can replace them? Ah, your confidence is heartening ;D I fear Shakes would be far too sensible for it though...

Shakes, join Dark Matter, somebody's bound to drown soon, you can replace them? Nice to know that you recognize how bad off me and chokea are. So let's take bets on who will drown first.

Haha, Spiral's mean like that. He knows his role, to try to kill characters. I don't know if I'd join that though. I'm not sure how I feel about d20 modern, though you can keep me posted if someone dies.

Any game that kills characters is okay in my book. I love a little fatality.

But it's not good to force a character into a lethal situation.

First rule of making a d&d character, take a swim proficiency! I've played too many characters in 2nd ed. who drowned far too easily.

It's D20 Modern- and I'm a con man from New York. Swimming is not something that comes up frequently for him.
Besides, I'm a Charismatic hero. Swim is a cross class skill. The most I could have had is 2 ranks. Considering my situation, that doesn't help much.
But Chokea's worse off than I am. Str 8 and Con 6.

If you look at how long it actually takes for someone to drown in the d20 System- Con rounds, with a Swim check each round to try and get afloat again- you'd see that we aren't in as much danger as it appears. Death by drowning is unheroic and not very entertaining, and the designers recognized that.

(Oh please, you should've been there in the first week of The Gods Are Crazy when KMan hit us with this "Save or Start to drown even though you're not in water" symbol, or the Insanity headband that nearly owned my guy. It would've been the quickest character loss in KMans history. 7th level spells out to get us and we were only lowly and unexpecting level 3 guys. )

I remember that...what did K Man say to you in that PM? "You feel an urge to go and cover those wierd things with water..."?
I told everyone we should of smashed those things when we first encountered them. Did you listen? First rule of AD&Ding: If there is flavour text, attack it, steal it, talk to it or run away from it.

It's so true. Though sometimes it's hard to determine which one of those options to take, and it only leads to disaster if you pick the wrong one. Ouch.

Hmmmmm, if I recall correctly, didn't rocks fall on the City of the Spider Queen. I heard that everybody died, no save.
We could keep this thread to track the games. Though now that there's so many, I'm too lazy to track all of the characters like I was doing before. Maybe one day.
