The Worlds Largest Dungeon

First as of when? When these boards only had half a dozen or so it's possible that some of us already met this criterium. I for one, try not to be in EVERY game... though I still manage to find my way into a fair number of them.

Good luck though rojito on getting in. Do remember though that quality over quantity is the way to go. I can't be an effective player in anymore games than I'm already involved with, so that's why I haven't jumped every game there is to play.

i understand, but see i have too much time on my hands, online college so i really only goto school 1 day a week, have no job or any other responcibilities, so i sit here all day long waiting for people to post... but truth be told if i find out that being in so many campaigns is affecting my playing i will bow out. and you right i am sure others have been, but it'll be a first for me especially since i am new to all these types of games, D20 modern is the ONLY setting i have a little bit of knowledge in so its all new and i am willing to try anything atleast once

I bet there was a time when TTC filled this criteria. Or, of course, KMan, since there was a time when he was running everything!

I can't handle more than a handful of games. The idea of running Dark Sun is a little daunting, honestly. I did the Noctis short and several introductions for DS, but a full-fledged long-term campaign will be quite an experience. Never done one online before.

well there is a difference guys... i cant DM so therefore i have it easy, mine are just characters i must remember.. not really characters... but old friends, like those people you read in a book, and 20 years down the road you re-read the book and you still know those characters, except there is no time difference between me and my characters

lol, I know how you feel, Japic. Half the time with athan I just write 'Blah, Call Lightning' or something. That last bit with the slain master was the longest bit of exposition I've done in that game. It was nice, though.

And I'm down to 'Next door, same rolls' in Masked Intentions. I'm such a slacker.

it looks like I'm at my "games to join or run limit" for now, or probably already exceeded it, but we'll see how it goes. When I was still playing Remi, I sometimes had trouble switching between Falco and him, and I think it has left a lasting impact on how I play Falco. Poor Falco...

But many games I played in dropped suddenly, and now I'm quite determined to make Rinascimento really become a good, solid and fun campaign that won't close prematurely like my old Fantasy Kingdoms online did. So I'm with Udjat; running a game here is quite a daunting task, if you want to keep it running, that is.

By the way, good thread, Fangor. This might apply for a sticky perhaps? If it gets frequently updated, it could be helpful to people seeking games to join.

No, I'm not crazy, though Ember is probably my favorite to play on these boards right now. I also got a kick out of the NPC satyr in the guild game, I think everyone hated him. I tend to like the more insane type characters when doing the play by post thing.

I try to do well with the posts cause I enjoy the writing and the storytelling, and I am always trying to get some character interaction going on cause that's my favorite part of the game, but I am guilty of slacking off, mostly during fight scenes though. I am guilty of writing things like,

Sir Mattheus says something knightly before he hits the enemy
and
Tiffany tells Khaine to win the fight because he is a broken cleric and if he can't even do that then why is he even playing D&D.

So yeah, we can forgive that so long as there is some substance to the posts once in awhile for the other characters to work with.
