Yay for visible game threads.
By the way, Wicksy- don't explain my joining the group, or explain away the absence of the characters of the players no longer in game. I will write my own intro that will do both.

No sweat. When the gods are crazy is over, we'll get into this.

Hi Wicksy, I need approval for the following feats for my tank: Steadfast Determination (PHB2) Requires: Enduracne Benefit: Use CON modifier (instead of WIS modifier) for WILL saves Three Mountain Style (Complete Warrior, Weapon Style Feat) Requires: Weapon Focus(Great Club or Morningstar or Heavy Mace), Power Attack, Cleave, Improved Bull Rush Benefit: Two consecutive hits with a Great Club, Morning Star or Heavy Mace forces a target to make a FORT save or become nausiated for one round. DC is STR based (I'm guessing it's the usual 10 + 1/2 HD + STR mod). A nauseated creature can only make a move action. If allowed, I plan to create a half-celestial fighter. If not, then its back to the drawing board Thanks, sans

Yeah, thats fine. I have access to those books now i'm home and gaming with my friends. You can go ahead and use them in your character.
That goes for everyone else too. Feel free to dig out what you want from now on as my mates have most evey book out there.

Are non-SRD classes/prestige classes available as well?

I used the DMG-exclusive Red Wizard and the Complete Arcane's Mage of the Arcane Order without hearing a peep from Wicksy, so it seems that anything goes.

That's just cause Wicksy's a push-over But yeah, it's probably best to ask in advance so you're not forced to redo the character sheet. I'd have to agree with Sans in asking beforehand.

By the way- you don't mind if the characters of the absent players die, do you?

Only Ewan is missing. What did he ever do to you to deserve to die.
Plus I might get the urge to play him again if someone else drops out or can't play anymore.

Yeah, any class is fine. When i was at uni, i had only access to the core books and the SRD. Now i'm at home, my mates have near everything going.
Its best not to kill them anyway. Well, kill Lusione, she wont be coming back, but not Ewan.

Hi Wicksy, I posted my character to the Spider thread. I have two questions:
1) How much xp?
2) How should I calc my hps?

hp are calculated as per the method used by K Man - ie 75% of the HD rounded up plus con mod.
As for xp, thats the standard for 10th level. However, i'll tell you each time you level up so dont worry too much about keeping track of xp (unless you need it for spells and making magic items)

Oh. Awesome. I assumed half HD rounded up plus Con. I get a few more HP.

So, how long is it until you think TGAC will be finished? (By the way, I think you guys are headed to a Total Party Kill. The buying of multiple permanant stat boosters with your 250,000 each felt like a poor investment to me. I'd put together a one-shot magical superweapon. I know what I'd get. www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dnd/20061020a)

In the words of parents everywhere. . .
"It will be over when it's over."
Keep your pants on.
Half of the people who will be in the game aren't even around to post frequently enough yet anyway.
As for the dragon encounter, yeah, we could have bought a bunch of stuff that wouldn't make sense for the game to have, but hey, you've gotta take 'em as they come, TPKs included.
Personally, I think it would be the best way for the game to end, teach the adventurers that they're mortal, that is afterall the DM's job, isn't it?
