Looks like I have jury duty all day on Monday. I might get out of it, if the NRA magazines, 'Vote for Pedro' shirt, and anything else I can think of works to my advantage...
KIDDING! Anyways, I will be out all morning mostly, and hopefully back in the afternoon. Not sure though....
All characters will go with the flow, in case you are waiting on anything from one of them prior to me posting.

APPARENTLY, Dyslexia has struck again. Turns out, I was supposed to be at Jury Duty on the 2nd, not the 8th. Rescheduled, and hopefully I won't get fined...

I was called in for jury duty last year. It was for the week before passover. I was supposed to call everyday that week to see if they needed me. Luckily, I had one of the higher numbers, so the first few days I didn't have to go in, but I was getting nervous.
Luckily, due to the holiday, all the trials and whatnot were being postponed toward the end of the week, so I never even had to go in. I got the thing stamped which said that I did try to call in everyday to see if they needed me, So now I think I'm good for the next few years.
Hopefully they won't call on me again. That last time was a pretty sweet deal and I don't think I would be able to get away with it again.
That's my little jury duty story for the day.

you know, this jury duty thing sounds cool to me, but that's probably cause I only know it from the movies. Over here we don't have a jury, but do you actually get to say (once you don't manage to evade actually going there ) whether some criminal is guilty or not? Or am I completely Hollywood-brainwashed?

They do get to determine if someone is guilty or not. But in the end, the judge has the final say and is the one who does the sentencing.
We have this right as Americans to be judged by a group of our peers. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not, but it usually works.
