I rack on tests; it's the homework that gets me. Today, for instance. Took a psychology test on sensation, knew everything on the test, but woke up too darn tired to finish the homework (mandatory notes...c'mon, who needs THOSE to learn?). Result: 60/80 (Test: 60\60. Homework:0\20) Errg. But I'll be vindicated in college.

The test was in Vascular plant taxonomy, For this test we needed to be able to identify plant families by a diagram of the flower or a formula that represents the flower such as K-4 C-6 A-8 G-2. In its self not a problem, but the problem comes with trying to memories these for eight different Genus, each genes with at least 6 Orders and each order with any where from 6-23 different families. The real bitch of it all is that even within the families some of the groups are completely artificial and the similarities are based on interpretation not natural relationships. So gust because one plant in a family looks a certain way doesn’t mean the rest of the family will have the same look. At least I get to drop one test. And yes in college the proffs could give a dam if you take notes, hell one guy shows up for the tests and nothing else, and gets some of the highest grades, O how I hate him.

So are you going into botany, or is this just a general ed course you won't use in life?

Actually it’s an upper divisional elective that I am taking to fulfill my major requirement. My goal is to be a high school science teacher so I am taking as diverse a field of classes as I can to be well rounded.

Alright had to jump in on this SSB discussion...first off, hands down, the best fighting game ever. And having personally logged over...what was it Japic, like 160k fights and victories, I think I can speak with authority on the subject. For those of you outside the Denver area, I used to room with Japic and we played that friggin game until smoke came out of the catridge. Both CPU's on 9, Japic as Faclon and myself alternating between Kirby and Link.....for hours on end. Looking back on it, if I applied that same effort to say, the cure for cancer, I might have developed it but it's just not as fun and hearing "Falcon BURN!" followed by the thud of the rock drop. Anyways, the game rocks and will continue to live on in my mind for a long time. SSB Melee was good, but I have to concur with others that it just isn't as good as the first. The controls didn't feel as tight, the stages weren't as well developed for the fights that should've ensued. I felt like they tried to cram too much into it to completely blow the predecessor out of the water, but ended up filling it with junk and drowning the heart of the game. Just my two cents which I'm sure are worth much less than that.

Sorry, I didn't see this thread till just now. I am a huge dork. I really am into Harry Potter in all of it's money grubbing, time consuming, thought stealing forms. I have read all of the books, except book 5, (50% done) or listening to them. (Audio Books- reading for the extremely lazy! I felt that I should use more "happy faces" because everyone uses a lot, and I HAVE TO BE IN THE "IN CROWD!" I am a gigantic toolbox who likes to play the Harry Potter Card game, talk to his equally strange sister about possible HP predictions, and constantly talk to his girlfriend about HP websites. Anyway, I like Lord of the Rings, Matrix (numbers 1&2 sorry KMan, don't kill me ) and X-men. When I'm not hoodwinked into buying more Old Navy clothes, I go to college where I am seeking a Biology degree (atleast for the next five minutes), after that, I most of the time go to my mind numbing spirt crushing job. Most favorite activity is staring at the wall and picking my nose.
