I finally got the the spread sheet working. I have one comment: the feat Melee Training looks like a must-have for Rogues, if I'm interperating the short comment they have on it right. It looks like it lets a Rogue use his Dex-based melee powers as basic attacks, which matters a lot for things like Commanders strike and opportunity attacks.

After re-reading, it appears we will be casting the anti cold spell once but with an expanded cost equal to the number of people covered. Is everyone ready to go?

"Benefit: Choose an ability other than Strength. When you make a melee basic attack using a weapon you are proficient with, you can use that ability instead of Strength for the attack roll and the damage roll."

Not quite as good as I thought for a rogue (I thought they might be able to use Piercing Strike or Sly Flourish), but that makes it useful for all the classes that don't use strength. Does it have any prerequisites? I might consider it for this wizard.

No prerequisites. It's a PHB2 Heroic Tier Feat available for any character. Sounds like a good level 4 feat for Zack, then (effectively +5 to hit and damage in melee, if we ever get that far). I think I'm really starting to like this concept.

Thursagan is ready to go. Does somebody have a pick, or something similar to break ice? I don't how the craghammer would work for that

Gabe looks down at his weapon belt with a slight frown, "My weapons aren't going to do much against a giant block of ice. Though I still have that flask of Alchemist's fire, if we can find a place to let it run downhill into the ice that might do the trick."

Oops, forgot about Sart.Initially the townsfolk were worried about Sart, but most came to realize that she was harmless (well mostly harmless). A few objected to having a goblin in town, but for most the sight of Sart following and doing the bidding of the group soon become commonplace. She even made a few friends. You can either bring Sart with you or leave her in town to await your return (or leave her with Doran). If you want to keep Sart alive, you should probably leave her behind, she really can't handle dangerous situations.

Sorry for the lack of replies of late; my wife and I had our first child on monday, so I've been a little busy
Is it okay if instead of buying winter clothes, Sanem can have made them from beasts he hunted? Just for flavor, I'm happy to spend the appropriate gold."I am usually quite certain I can survive anything dread winter can send, and no part of nature strikes fear in my heart. This eldritch weather though... I'm not sure. I'll dress for the cold, and I'll take any magical assitance that could aid my survival, I am not ashamed to admit when I need aid. I fear for Persephone however, this cold will be brutal for her. Has anyone a suggestion as to how we can help her survive this bitter cold? Perhaps the magic you speak of could protect her as well?" 588

While waiting to hear what the group wants to do with Sart (bring her along or leave her in town), I'm going over everyones character, entering them into Character Builder and looking for any discrepancies. Make sure you have your own character bookmarked so that you'll see my notes. :-)

Oh I was just going with GM fiat, Sart gets left behind on this mission. Not quite sure on the ramifications leaving an unattended goblin in town. But if anyone here has shown any sort of affinity to her maybe we could leave her in their care with instructions for her to assist them whilst we are away. Then when we go someone with a slightly safer environment she could travel with us again and stay at the back.

Can Sart wait outside the tower, or will that be too dangerous for her?

Can Sart wait outside the tower, or will that be too dangerous for her? Possibly too dangerous, but not definitely. It depends on how bad the weather is in the forest and if you are attacked on your way to the tower. She's willing to go, but is very fragile compared to the group.

Anyone want to see if the burly barmaid is interested in looking after her? I don't much care, I'd just like to deal with it and move on.

I'm still working on getting ready for the next adventure, so no rush. Leaving Sart in town has it's risks as well. Some people don't like goblins, so without the group to protect her, they might do something about that. Though you could leave her with Doran (who I'm sure wouldn't like that) <evil grin>

Get Sart. Go. Oops, false Sart. Sorry, I like to tell bad jokes sometimes.

So, are we ditching Sart in town, or outside the tower?
