"My eyes hath fallen upon something divine..."
It looks fine to me maynard...much softer than the red glowing text.
Out of curiousity, what's the color combination you used?

[glow=DarkKhaki,2,300]Wow. Good for Cthullhu, I think.[/glow]
I think it's more visible if you bold it like you did. Let me try something...[glow=Lightsteelblue,2,300]Wow. You can set the glow to any color! Tight.[/glow]
Oni's staff---Oni's Caution: If the wielder is reduced to -1 hit points or less, he is teleported to the temple under White Sand Lake, and cure light wounds takes effect upon him.
Marnak's Bastard Sword---Marnak's Surprise:If anyone but Marnak or those whom he deems worthy of his sword holds the naked blade or hilt (they can hold it safely in a scabbard), it becomes subject to a heat metal spell that climbs as normal to 2d6/round, but does not taper off until the offender releases the sword.
Niamy's Crystal---Niamy's Indignation: If entry to the possessor's mind is forced (this does NOT include all mind-affecting effects---the DM should use discretion when deciding which spells actually enter the mind. Detect thoughts, the various dominate spells, and select others are good choices. The charm chain should probably be left alone, though that one's a close call.), the intruder must make a Will save against DC 10+(.5*character level)+(primary manifesting modifier---Con in Dalorius's case, but Int once we get ExPsi). On failure, the intruder is affected as if by a feeblemind spell, and automatically fails a save against a remote viewing manifested by the possessor within the nex hour. On success, he is merely stunned for one round.
Failure or success, the offending spell fails. Niamy's Indignation will not function for one hour after it has been triggered.
Kiera's Amulet---Kiera's Love: When the bearer dies, he is affected by a true resurrection five minutes later. After this has taken effect, the amulet loses ALL magical properties.
Intyx's Ring---Take No Prisoners: This power is a bit unusual. It doesn't exist until 11th level. If the wearer is captured or otherwise in an enemy's power (DM's discretion), he will gain awareness of this power. It functions regardless of whether the ring is actually in his possession at the time---Intyx constantly worried about being stripped of his equipment, and took precautions that his spiritual heir would always have a last resort.
As a full-round action requiring a Concentration check of DC 24, the heir of Intyx may cause his body to explode, releasing the elemental energy pent inside. This kills the heir of Intyx automatically, and has the following effect:
Within a radius of 10 feet per character level, everything suffers damage equal to character level*10. This damage is elemental damage. The damage is distributed proportionally according to the Elemental Foci the bearer has acquired, i.e if the character has acquired Elemental Focus (fire) twice and (cold) once, 240 degrees of the circle suffer from fire damage, and 120 degrees suffer cold damage.
Boleron's Cape---Boleron's Wrath: If the wearer is grappled and conscious, the grappler must make a Reflex save or take (character level * d6 fire damage. Success halves this damage. This takes effect but once per grapple---it does not continue through the grapple.

No, I would liken that to Bea Arthur taking Anna Kournikova's place in a swimsuit calendar.
