I was jyst wondering if anyone allowed the new hexblade class into their gaem, how rare it would be, and what sort of story potential you see it generating.
I couldn;t find anywhere else on the board where i could post something like this, so i thought I'dpost it here.

I'm of the opinion that it's underpowered---I'd allow it. Rarity? Probably pretty high, just b/c I don't think of the class that much. Story potential would be pretty good---but there are no bad plot elements, just bad DM's.  |

I'm never against barring anything from anyone. In fact, I like to let anyone play anything in my games. It challenges me, as DM, to find rules, monsters or NPC to challenge them right back.
That and I can fudge die rolls... ;D
Anyway, for story potential, I'm not sure what you're looking for there. If I remember correctly, Hexblade can just cast spells when they attack right?
I could see it being a neat thing for like an elven academy. I.E. - Their elite force. Or even a group of highly trained ogre shamans could be hexblades too...tons of potential

The Hexblade throws curses right? I'm not too familier with it....
You could certainly do a dark hero sort of character with that class...
I'm big on character concept and story over power any day.
