I just bought Volumes 3 and 4 tonight, and wow. I feel ashamed for not getting into them earlier. I've read some other Gaiman, American Gods and whatnot, but I have to say that the Sandman, especially the couple of issues with Will Shakespeare, blow them out of the water. But I may be biased because I was in a production of A Midsummer Night's Dream last fall...
Has anyone else read them?

You know, I picked up Vol. 2, 'Doll House' for fun and based on the recommendation of a cute girl at Borders and was completely floored by it. The references to Vol. 1 made me salivate even more for them. Someday I will have the whole series...
But sadly...I have not gotten them. I've been threatening too, friends have threatened to buy them for me...but none of it has ever gone through.
I'm dying to read them though...
I think they are great comics and seem to hold my attention repeatedly.

You've gotta track down the rest of them, it's wel worth the effort. The story in the Doll's House Prolouge winds up being the central narrative for, it seems, the rest of the series. But, I'm barely halfway, so I suppose it's premature to extrapolate too much.

There nothing worse than premature extrapolation....chicks hate that. Yes, I fully intend to get the rest of the series...someday.

Yeah, I've noticed they don't go for it---in either semantic interpretation.
