Well, holiday time for this weary slave.
Wont be tripping around a lot. I'll just do a seaside trip to the aegean coast, then I'll be visiting the places where my grandma was born. I'm planning to do village stuff, harvesting crops, horse-riding and grasshopper-chasing (??). Also lots of breakfasts with fresh butter and cheese, fresh picked tomatoes, fresh cooked village-bread, in fresh-air, of course. Did anyone pick the emphasis on fresh? =)

Sounds like you too are going to have a great time! I've never been to the Aegean, but I can imagine the fresh sea breeze.

Helloez people. I'm back from vacation. =)
The whole thing was quite refreshing, and all is over in a blink. The coast wasnt that wonderful, all rocky and stuff, but the water was unrealistically fresh and pure. As if there was a portal to the elemental plane of water upon the coastal shelf, hah. Our alcohol consumption reached alarming levels at night, it was fun (not for the neighbors perhaps).
The village was simple and serene. I lost the count of hours and days, away from newspapers and the rest of the world. You could count the stars, everyone and each of them, even the smallest ones. The altitude is 2300 meters in our village (mountains everywhere, ill post the pictures if im not lazy), the air fresh and cool, a nice break from the humid hell that is Istanbul. From the soil erupted all kind of foliage, and better still, you could eat most of them. =) I also rode a horse to the highlands, collected eggs from the chicken hut every morning, and swam in the freezing waters of Çoruh, a wild river.
I can tell pages more of it. All was so dreamy, but it is over. Maybe some day I will find the courage to leave the city behind for a healthier, and less depressing (in the long run) life. -_-
By the way, I couldnt chase any grasshoppers, because they were like half the size of my palm. Like, a little bit more, and they could chase me instead. Shivers.
edit: I also milked a cow, and its harder than it seems to be. =)

Back to basic in the day, lots of alcohol during the night, sounds like a dream indeed. Hope you really will find the time for those pics. I actually don't believe we have any pics of you as of yet on the forum, do we? Not saying we have to, but a picture of you on horseback getting chased by a dire grasshopper would be fun.
