Cool pics, I'm afraid I can't give you a skyline like that when I take a picture from any of my friend's homes. By the way, you New Yorkers noticed anything of the Dutch-New York celebrations of the 400th anniversary of the Dutch discovery and settling of the region? Over here, you can't hope to avoid it on the television. Just curious if there is any impact at all on normal folks over there.

Oh yeah, there's been some celebration and festivities. I did see something on the news the other day, so it is getting coverage. All sorts of events and I think the Dutch navy made an appearance. Unfortunately I missed out, though I might check out some of the longer lasting exhibits.

thanks for sharing Shakes; its always nice to see another point of view. the closest I could get to those pics is by taking pictures off bluspec's dad's balcony downtown.
You can see the suburbs stretching off for long ways; but not nearly as many high rises.
