As cool as it is that this guy is sticking it to the preppies... as someone that's got ink myself that's fucked up. I would sue the shit out of this ass. Then again I'm not sportin his heritage, so I'm not exaclty a target.
Either way: good story, bad dude.

Man, that's guy's awesome. Hell, I would probably do it too, if I actually knew Japanese/Chinese. If they want a message on their skin, they should put it in English, not an oriental language so that they seem multi-cultural.

I've got a plan to get some ink, but it ain't no damn Chinese script that means nothing to me or my heritage.
If your going to have words tatooed on you for life, you better do some research and know what they mean!

Do the tattoo'd people have grounds to sue the Artist.

He says negh
What do you guys think?

I say absolutely.
If I can sue you for calling me a bad name on the street. I can definately sue your ass for tattooing something bad on me. It may equate to slander or defamation of character. If nothing else it can be for the cost of tattoo removal. Either way it's a civil matter.
The dude could lose his business license (assuming he had one). Or the judge could throw out the case and call you a dumbass (Judge Judy style) for not doing your homework first.
So I say, yes. Sue away. You may not win, but you can sue.

I should extrapolate....
I say Nay because I'm jaded and having stood on a jury with what is commonly referred to as a 'Frivalous Lawsuit'...I'm sick of seeing people think sueing is the only way to get rich.
I think if any sueing is to occur the punishment should be one of the following: - Five minutes alone in a room with the guy and a bat. - Have him correct the tattoo at his expense. - Have him pay for the removal of the tattoo.
...but it won't be that. It'll be some yuppie fuck screaming 'defamation of character' when actually it should be liable cause it's written and sueing for $100k cause of 'lack of consortion' cause some stupid bitch laughed at him being labeled 'small penis' and him not getting any so he'll waste ten jurors time and money for a week while past mental therapy documents are drug up and lawyers bitch about 'persuing the right course of justice'...
...and he'll win and bankrupt the artist that was making a point while the other ten people persue the same course of action and get no money cause he'll be a rock that can not bleed anymore and they'll be fucked out of money as the artist claims bankruptcy...
That's justice...
Like I said...Jaded...

Of course they will sue, because so many people want big brother to help them. They want big brother around to tell them when it is okay to do something, or to fight for them, or to pat them on the back and tell them it 's not their fault. How about those people that sue fast food companies because they don't want to take responsiblility for their choices. Lawsuits galore!

Good story, bad dude. Should be sued.
Small claims court, of course, and maybe a little for inconvenience, plus legal fees. I mean, they DID pay him, and he DID accept the job. Who gives him the right to be the culture police? Maybe, unbeknownst to him, all the preppie wannabes actually had Japanese ancestors way back. Probably not, but who's he to screw around with other people's bodies w/o their permission?

A lot of it would have to deal with the parameters of the tattoo agreement. If he showed them what he was writing and they agreed to it, it is one thing, but if he changed it without their knowing that is a different matter. He will get sued, and he will loose, and it will suck for every one involved, the American way.

I just saw something in Newsweek---apparently Britney Spears got hit. Terms to describe Caelith: Wild, sweeping, emotion, caught up, power, burn, color, flame, fly, imagine, dream, chaos, attack Terms to describe Callian: White, rigid, steel, honor, bound, gave his word, defend, protect, shield, block, charge, mercy, justice,
