Alright PICTURES! So just to let everyone know, my wife and I (Still a little strange to say that) stayed in Princeville which is a small town on the island of Kauai. It's a really beautiful place with only small towns and lots of wilderness.
My mother's gift to us for the wedding was the use of her time share. Due to the resort being booked we were only allowed to get a small room (roughly 250 square foot) which only had a small refrig, microwave, bed, and bathroom. Well as soon as we got to the front desk, and I mentioned honeymoon the two ladies there were awesome and upgraded us free to a 1 bedroom which came with a full kitchen and living room.
So here are a few pictures of the resort and the apartment we stayed in.
Cool waterfall fountain at the resort.
Heading into the Resort
Living Room
Full Kitchen, was pretty nice.
The first day in Hawaii we had signed up for a 7 hour boat tour that took us around to the Napali Coast. The coast is really famous as it's one of tallest ocean cliffs in the world. It's also famous for being the host of numerous movies including Six Days Seven Nights (Harrison Ford movie) and the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean 4 movie, among others.
Bunch of pictures of the coast.
Sea Cave
DOLPHINS!
I have tons more pictures, but those are some of the good ones.
The next day we went around the island looking at the attractions including the Lighthouse, Spouting Horn, and the Waimea Canyon.
Yes, all of those white dots are birds. This was on the way to the Lighthouse.
There was a HUGE swell that day.
To our amusement, the Lighthouse was decommisioned a while back. The light in the front serves as the new lighthouse.
Spouting Horn. A small cave leads to a hole on the top of the rocks, making the water spout upwards to 50' in the air.
Another randomness. Kauai suffers from TONS of feral cats and Chickens. The sign explains it all.
Some pics of Waimea Canyon. It was a loooong car ride up to the top.
As requested, pasting gamer legs!!
The next couple of days we went on various adventures. One day we went hiking/kayaking/zip lining. Another we went horse back riding. Both had really nice small waterfalls and secluded ponds where we could swim.
The wife about 100 feet above ground.
My fat self on a horse! It was a big horse too .. I just make it look smaller
Secluded swimming hole. The owner of the ranch owns 300+ acres, and what a nice place to own.
On Friday night we headed to a Luau. Was really cool, especially the fire dancing.
It was a pretty large venue, that's the wife hitting the alcohol early. The Mai Thai's were delicious.
Hula Dancers
More Hula Dancers!
The food was amazing. They had a pig underground cooking for around 12 hours. Best port I've had. Also, notice the purple sweet potatoes.
It was hard taking pictures during the actual performance as it was VERY dark and there was no flash photography. I did record it on our camcorder though. Maybe when I'm not feeling lazy I can upload the videos. We do have a few pictures though.
Ok, those are a few. On to the FIRE DANCING! These are the three women that were dancing.
This was the dude. He was REALLY REALLY good.
Like I've said before. I have TONS of pictures. A lot more then those, but I could sit here all day putting them up. I think we took over 600 pictures while in Hawaii.
Hope you enjoyed the show!
