Unfortunately for this guy, he's screwed. If these guys broke into his house and he killed one, that's different. Make-My-Day laws being what they are.

However, had he fired a warning shot in the air and these guys pulled guns on him, he could have safely 'defended' himself. The fact that he killed the perp who was running away, not attacking him makes this dude a cold blooded killer.

For once I don't have anything useful to say here... game on!

Cold-blooded? BS. A killer, sure, and too protective of his tricked-out rice rocket, but not cold-blooded.

Murder 1 seems too harsh for this guy. Yeah, he should be locked up, but you can't put him on the level of premeditated murder for gain.
