"I be Harknail," replied the steel plated stone construct, as if it were alive. "We be finished saving the elven village from the kobolds and dragon. Now we are free to choose our own quests."
No sooner had Harknail finished, when the door from outside burst open as a young male human staggered inside. The door closed behind him as he staggered a few steps into the common room, then collapsed to the floor.
Everyone seems to be looking for adventure, don't want anyone's character to get bored, so here comes some excitement.

When the door burst open loudly, Harknail had turned to look. But when the newcomer collapsed, Harknail moved forward, kneeling beside the collapsed body and carefully inspected the stranger health. After a moments examination, Harknail looked up and announced, " He be alive, but he be sleeping till the morrow. He hath run too far and too hard methinks." Quietly, Twinkle walked over to the Warforged, and began tugging at various articles of clothing on the fallen man, loosening it from being as tight.
"I've seen through this before. If he's fainted from over-exhaustion, prop him up so his legs are higher than the rest of his body. It gets the blood flowing back to his brain, and will help him recover more quickly."

"I am Lairaunwen Elereth", the tall enchanting half-elf responds to Abraxus, Xi, and Twinkle. She then turns to Abraxus, shakes his hand and asks, "And what's your name?"

Following the advice of the short stranger, Harknail scoops up the unconscious stranger, moving him out of the door way. Harknail set him down again out of the way, with his feet propped up on a bench.
"I wonder where he be from," muttered Harknail as he tended to him.

Abraxus was briefly distracted from shaking strangers hands by the new exhausted guy. But it seemed there were a few others who knew what to do with him so he easily left them to it when Lairaunwen asked his name.
"Oh yes sorry" Abraxus apologizes to Lairaunwen "My names Abraxus, I am Bharashes brother. He told me about you. His description did not do you justice though" he points out with a glint in his draconic eye.
"Do you think we should try and stop that fortuneteller getting away? Was she important?" Abraxus looks around the others, opening the question up to all of them.

DMG- isn't that the page with the powers for stunts.
My character is a Telepath, but there are no mind reading powers, except odd powers like, say, borrow training. I was hopeing I could use borrow training to borrow streetwise to know what he was running from.

Xi sends "hello's echoing though the unconscious strangers mind, but he is too near death to respond even in a dream. Changing tactics Xi borrows what skill the stranger has as a way of picking up more about him. Int roll: (1d20+5=9)He picks up farming skills, along with the impression of lakes and rolling hills. And a self reliance that comes from distance between neighbors. But Xi doesn't find what he's running from or where he came from. Xi doesn't recognize the area, but others might if he shares the description.

"Hmmm, I don't know this areas too well, but from what I can pick up, He's from a remote farm, near lakes and between rolling hills. Poor Guy nearly ran himself to death to get here though. "

Paec put a hand on his chin as he considered before he answered. "Rolling hills and plenty of lakes sounds like Elkridge. It's not so much a town as scattered farms with small core of businesses to serve the farmers. Besides some food that doesn't grow well here on the coast, they provide Moonhaven with most of our ale. If something has happened to Elkridge, there are going to be a lot of thirsty people around here!"

"Is ale important then?" asked the construct who could not eat or drink.

Abraxus passes over to check on the collapsed man that no one else had managed to revive.
Abraxus talks quietly to the incumbent man “Come on fellow. Just wake up for a bit, I know you are tired but i bet you have felt worse. You have something important to tell us yeah? Best to make the effort and tell us soon. Make all that running worthwhile. Hey I’ll even buy you some bean soup if you wake up”
This is an attempted inspiring word use. to make him regain consciousness
Abraxus looks up at the constructs odd question “Is ale important? Put it this way, people don’t come to a place like this for soup. Its for ale! People love the stuff."

The man groans and and his hand lifts slightly as Abraxus' words get though to some part of the stranger and he tries to wake up. But then he collapses again. He simply had no more reserves to draw upon. Good idea Unfortunately he spent all his Healing Surges on failed Endurance checks (and then spent all of his HP). But you are on the right track. Abraxus realized that the stranger needed more than some inspiring words, he needed some healing that didn't draw from his own lacking reserves. Something that added energy from outside, such as what a Paladin or a Artificer could do.

"Harknail can you heal him?", Lairaunwen Elereth asks.

"Tis not in battle, but I will try," responded Harknail. Harknail wan't sure if the healing granted him by Kord, the God of battle, would work in more mundane situations. But he was willing to try.
Bending over the unconscious farmer, Harknail reached out a two fingered hand and placed it gently on the man's chest. Invoking the power of his god, Harknail transferred some of his own energy reserves into the unconscious man.
The man stirred, opened his eyes, and saw Harknail's stony countenance a mere foot from the man's face as Harknail watched for any sign that his Lay on Hands had worked. The man screamed, "Eeeeee!"
Harknail backed away and announced completely unnecessarily, "He be awake now.
Scampering to his feet, the man calmed as he released that he was in a tavern, not captured by monsters. Though he continued to give Harknail a wary eye.
