Since people seem to be interested, I'm going to put the starting limit to 6 characters So there is an extra slot open for interested parties!
On the dual-mooned world Thamia, on the continent of Coramur, people live very simply: they wake up, work to support their families, and they live as their respective religions tell them to. The people live everyday in fear; in fear of non-humans, in fear of starvation and bandits, in fear of the unknown, and even in fear of each other. Dwarven technology appears to be devils' handiwork and the natural magic and mental abilities of sorcerers and psionics is condemned as possession or a curse. What may be progress and learning to one person is blasphemy and heretical to another, making religious inquisitions common and their survivors less so. Only the tightest knit communities survive making honest livings. While the peasants live in fear, the upper classes exploit them and their lands for personal gain, leaving a psychologically broken people and a land that bears no hope for the common man.
That is, until the discovery of the new world two years ago: a continent across the ocean named Hadrus. A world away from their old lives, people have begun to slowly trickle to one of two settlements on the continent. Though founded as colonies of their respective nations, not everyone comes to Hadrus out of patriotism. Some come for monetary gain, other for religious freedom, others to escape their old lives, and some even came for adventure. A whole new frontier has opened up on Thamia, one with its own past and mysteries; what the people do with it is up to them.
---------------------------------------------------------
Setting:
On Thamia, the world is divided into two sections: Coramur - the 'old world' which is held primarily by three kingdoms, and Hadrus - the 'new world' which is almost entirely unexplored and unclaimed.
On Coramur, the White Rose Empire, the Southern Confederacy of St. Cuthbert and the northern island Kingdom of Burgash rule through claims of divine providence and an iron fist. The only non-human kingdom left is that of the dwarves who, after suffering something akin to genocide, dug deep into their mountains and are sandwiched between the Empire and the Confederacy. Though currently at peace with each other, it is not uncommon for there to be border disputes, and it is only a matter of time before a full-fledged war breaks out again.
On Hadrus there are two small colonies, the Confederacy's colony, Evanall and the Empire's, Whitevale. Both small colonies are dealing with their own problems of survival, while being pressured from the home-front to make returns on their investment.
Campaign:
The campaign will be mostly player driven. The players will begin on Hadrus. There will be plenty of things going on in the world around them, but it is solely up to the players to decide what it is they wish to pursue. If they wish to be the newest, greatest bandit in the new world - have at it. If they wish to be a missionary for their new faith - great. If they wish to settle their own land or lead a colony, awesome. If you want to found a land for uninhibited arcane study- go for it. It is up to you as players - I have a whole world open to you to do with as you will. It should go without saying that this will be RP heavy.
Character Creation:
We will use the 32 point buy in. Characters will be approved Via PM to me. Spellcasters beware that the common man not only doesn't appreciate your powers, but fears them and may react violently if you are in a close-minded enough area.
Starting at 1st Level. Standard Races. Anything in the d20srd is allowed. Any other books/feats/skills need to be okay'd, but generally as long as you have a description of the the feat/class/skill with any pertinent rules information I will be okay with it.
Religious characters/classes beware that the two Major (and almost only) deities for humans are Pholtus and St. Cuthbert. Other gods are allowed, but take note that both of those gods' followers are rather zealous and while they are 'lawful good' gods their worshipers might see themselves as 'lawful good' when they really might be doing horrible things in their gods' names.
Player list:
I'm looking for 4-5 players on a first come basis.
1. Rojito
2. Jolith
3. VemuKhaham
4. Yoggemothi
5. (Japic?)
6.
