How do I do the voodoo you need me to do? (Where's the rules for the system?)
Rules not requred at this stage - i'll post up charts and the like while required, for now you just need to figure out who you are.
Step 1 : Pick an origin -Feral world - you are from a technologically primative world, perhaps even a death world. What little you know of technology has been gained since being taken from you home for one reason or another. A barbarian of sorts.
Hive world - Hive worlds are vast cities, stretching miles into the sky where the weathy live, and miles underground where the masses work endlessly to supply materials for the imperial war machine. You may never have seen the sun, but you know how to survive.
Imperial world - A world held firm by the iron first of the imperium. Blessed by the Emperor and all his workings, and blessed be his children who live to serve him.
Do not ask why you serve. Only ask how.
Void born - Born upon a starship or space station, accustomed to life amongst the stars. Voidborn are considered an ill-omened breed but few imperial citizens will experience a world as wide as these.
Forge world - endless factories and refineries as far as the eye can see, stretching into the sky and burrowing into the ground. Endless streams of humanity, each a purpose and a function. Praise be to the Omnissiah, the machine god, his will be done.
Schola Progenium - Countless orphans are enrolled into the imperium's Schola system, to be taught the imperial truth - the only truth. Taught to be paragons of human virtue, to seek out the witch and the alien and the heretic, and to kill them.
The best of these may go on to fill the ranks of the Commissars, the Sororitas, and the Adeptus Ministorum.
Noble Born - Born to rule men, supremely connected, weathly. While the vast majority of the imperium toil in blessed ignorance it is the duty of the nobles to guide them and exalt them to greater efforts - for the failing of ones inferiors carries severe consequences.
Mind cleansed - Ignorance is a blessing, a great gift. Sometimes it is bestowed upon those who the imperium deem worthy of future service in the name of the emperor.
But who knows what lies beneath the conditioning, a loyal servant who looked into the abyss, or one who threw themselves in willingly?
Step 2 : Roll stat adjustments -Once you have chosen a background just send me a PM with 10 pairs of D10 rolls :
[dice=10][dice=10]
[dice=10][dice=10]
etc.
I'll let you know how that converts into stats based on your homeworld selection.
Your career selection determines how much it costs to raise those stats (and you start with xp). You also get one reroll on a stat of your choice.
Step 3 : Pick a career -Adept - "Knowledge is power. Do not waste it on the masses."
Best access to knowledge skills, most likely to know those things hidden to the imperium at large.
Arbitrator - "No shield may stay the blade of justice"
Tough and brutal investigators.
Assassin - "The Emperor wills all things, even death. Some deaths He wills swifter than others."
Skilled weapon users, vary from snipers to blade wielding death cultists.
Cleric - "A man without faith is a man without a soul. Suffer not the soulless in thy ministry, for they make doors for dangerous forces."
NOT a spellcaster. Clerics are armed zealots, leaders of men. First into the fight no matter the odds.
Guardsman - "Life is war. And I'm gonna win!"
Best access to heavier weaponry and practical military skills.
Imperial Psyker - "I have stood within the palace of the Throne on Holy Terra itself. There my soul was shattered and re-formed, a living weapon forged on the Emperor's will."
Essentially the game's spellcaster - powers are risky to use and limited in scope depending on the character's focus.
Scum - "Yeah, crime pays. Why else do you think I do it?"
Quick on their feet, quick on the draw, and quick witted. Or dead.
Tech-Priest - "I am a Child of the Omnissiah, cultist of the Machine God. The rites of manifold application, the liturgies of ignition and the songs of Engine-seeing are mine own to know. I speak to the spirits of ancient tech-machines from, from the warrior heart of a battle tank to the secret wisdom of the cogitator."
Good access to bionic implants, engineering and medical skills. Shooty and tough, not good with people.
Sororitas - "What is the self compared to the God-Emperor's service? Nothing."
Advanced class, only suitable if you are familiar with the Sororitas.
Step 4 : Spend starting XP and buy equipment -When we get that far...[rand=72657753941525272161289353034837897600985637116501606593097863601]
