On entrance to the service of the Inquisition, many Acolytes take part in strange and terrible divination rites to learn more of their part in the Throne's great plan.
Sometimes these divinations point to the death and undoing of a soul, other times they are stout words to live by. In some cases, they have a bitter irony only discovered in hindsight.
candi :[dice=100] "Violence solves everything" (WS+3)
Yakumo :[dice=100] "Trust in your fear" (Agil+2, Fate +1)
Jolith :[dice=100] "Die if you must, but not with your spirit broken" (WP+3)
Japic :[dice=100] "The only true fear is of dying with your duty not done" (Wounds +2)
Your divination does not define your character, it's simply the path your are fated to walk. [rand=4957737155711744425314863024446876423143796771194237600280476825736]

Wow, the irony is fantastic That was my character's motto before I even rolled a single die.

Funny how these divinations can really point to a key aspect of your character. Something about "Trust your fear" really suits the type of scum who hides himself and smuggles. And it can really add to the dillema of (potentially) needless bravery.

Sorry about the delay putting my character up, Im in canada for the remainder of the month, but I smartly emailed myself my word document with my character so I should have it up tomorrow after I finish formatting it for Message boards.

So I guess now we're just waiting on Japic. Any word from him recently at? Last message from Japic was 2 weeks back at the 'mulling over the rules' stage - stats are rolled but xp/items are not chosen. (tech priest) yoggemothi was finishing up his xp a couple of days back and had a few thoughts on character and items. (adept) I'm in work milestone hell ATM, I might look to get something up monday to let characters interact a little but it'll be at least a week before I have some clear air to think about starting the game - depending on how ready players are.

Yeah, I'll admit it. I'm no farther now than was last we PMed.
Life is going crazy just now and I can't focus in on what I need to do to create this character. Either I'm going to have to step back, or get a little more specific help to make this happen. Because right now I don't have enough time to get my head around the system without a copy of the published rules explaining why we do certain things in the process. (hope that makes sense)
I definitely don't want to be someone dragged along not understanding the system at all. I've played with people that don't or can't grasp a system and its taxing for those that know what they are doing, while frustrating for the one that is ignorant of the rules.
Tonight after work I will try to focus in and make sense of it.

I definitely don't want to be someone dragged along not understanding the system at all. It's going to be new to everyone playing. I've posted the basics of the rules in the out of character discussion page. You'll want a few basics for your class - Utility Mechadendrite Use, Tech-Use +10, Trade (Technomat), and Luminen Charge are all fairly key. Beyond that you just have to pick whatever suits the character you want to play - lore skills, combat talents, stat boosts - all are useful. The only aspect worth mentioning is toughness increases - increments of ten (30, 40, 50, etc) do impact on your character's life span. A little knowledge of how the world works from a background standpoint is probably more useful than knowledge of the rules.

At, if you'd like I was thinking of putting up some generic information regarding the Imperium of Man, just to give the players that are new to the setting an idea what the worlds are like. I can type it up and leave it in the Out of Game Discussion if you'd like. Wouldn't be a problem, just going to take some info from the 40k Rulebook.

Time permitting i'll post a starter later on today, just to get some interaction and plot going.
We've lost Yoggi so our starting group will consist of a sneaky lockpicking scum, a heavily armoured sister of battle, a heavy rifle-armed arbitrator, and hopefully a tech priest.
