Thank you from Ka'lion ( 17 should be enough, but might not. just squeezing the jaws with 2 hands should do 3+d3/2+d3 sub-dual.

Feeling confident that a wolf won't be able to attack to suckers an once, Navarre runs up to the last standing wolf, who is grappling with the Barbarian, and attempts to smack it with his morning star.
[dice=20]
[dice=8]
Navarre rolls a seven to hit, so that misses unless grappling means the wolf is prone (-4 to melee) and lacks a dexterity bonus to amour class.
4 damage otherwise.[rand=3612738347146662220735801383853406002303119748836873045288957655]

Navarre strikes the squirming wolf's flank, but the cautious blow has little effect on the berserk creature. It tries to break free to bite at it's new attacker but Ka'lion holds it firmly in place.
The second wolf staggers to it's feet biting at Vadania once more, latching briefly onto her arm but unable to pierce the elf's armour.
Ylva quickly pulls the wolf down once more while a short distance away Navarre and Nillfree are quick to finish Ka'lion's assailant before it can break free once more.
As the last wolf falls silent a new sound can be heard and the eyes of the group turn to a newcomer, a heavily armoured warrior rushing to aid ... or attack them?

unsure if the wolf is dead or just playing possum. Ka'lion stands up and using the wolf like a club starts to smash it into the ground with everything he has. [dice=20] to realize the wolf is truly dead. If any doubt he keeps swinging. OOC: I realize these wolves may be were creatures and once he calms down Ka'lion would know that to.

Vadania kept her sword ready and shield up as the newcomer approached. She still didn't have enough experience to read people, but by assuming he was an animal she tried to determine how hostile he was. Not that she was all that good at sensing animal hostility either.

Aelos comes charging in, hammer in hand. Seeing the wolves dead, he looks the group over. "Anyone hurt?"

Ka'lion smashes the wolf on rocks until his rage has passed. Then he hold his bleeding neck and bleeding leg. hoping they will stop bleeding. But he refuses to say a word.

Vadania lowers her sword and looks around to see how everyone faired. She answers, "Looks like Ylva and the barbarian were the only ones hurt, maybe the mule as well. But I suggest you let the barbarian calm down before you get close to him." Vadania was certainly afraid to get close to the barbarian, she had never seen him like that!

Aelos looks over and sees the blood from the Barbarian's wounds. "Well hey, let me take a look at that." He then pulls out his holy symbol and begins to chant. Spontaneous Cast Cure Light Wounds on the Barbarian. Sacrifice one bless for [dice=08] + 4 HP returned (7 total).[rand=293798776683632860743140800046083753342255701071628595901853750068]

As the newcomer casts his spell Vadania recognises the symbol - she had seen the same hung around the neck of the blacksmith she had spoken to when first entering Clearwater.
Whoever he was this man had no signs of injury, nor did the weapon he carried match the recent wounds on the wolves, clearly there were others nearby.

Vadania had noticed how strange the wolves were acting herself, so after asking the stranger, "Could you help Ylva also? She was bit by one of these attacking wolves." She then started examining the wolves to see if they were diseased. Interesting view for the newcomer. We were obviously attacked by wolves, but no one is attacking the wolf that is still standing

Your pet hasn't attacked Ka'lion yet. If he does this will be a very different outcome. This is why a high intelligence in a barbarian matters. If Ka-lion had a average intelligence he'd attack your pet just to be sure it was no danger to anyone later. A high intelligence means Ka'lion knows your wolf is not crazed.

Even a dumb barbarian can recognize that this wolf belongs to Vadania and that it isn't a problem, the wolf was with us in the inn! It's only to the newcomer who has never seen Ylva before that this would look strange.

A high intelligence means Ka'lion knows your wolf is not crazed. Actually that's more of a wisdom thing. High INT represents things like memory, ability to master new skills, and so on. In any event Barbarions are not psychotic and Ka'lion himself has been raised in relatively civil conditions - his anger is a quirk unique to him and, as it was not taken as a flaw, requires no check to restrain.The wolves to not seem diseased, though it might not be apparent if infection was recent. They show signs of exhaustion though and you would estimate that they recieved their other wounds less than an hour ago, almost certainly from man made, or lizardman-made weaponry.

Just playing blind rage. I have a temper like that when seriously provoked. Which is why I nearly never get truly angry. I can't afford the guilt that goes with it. It's called blind rage where I come from. They see through a red haze and tend to hit things with all their might. That was roll playing rage by someone that understands how rage really work. It's a reason some people live in the mountains. They are protecting others from their dark side. That is a common trait among the more savage hockey players and boxers. I played it toned down so I would not alarm anyone. If I had played it as a truly savage he would of been biting the ears of the wolf.
Let's track down where they came from. Most of their wounds are recent and it does not look like it came from our weapons. Or should we continue the hike - where are we going anyway?

The group seemed unsure of what to make of the newcomer, Maester Belomme seemed the logical choice to speak for the group but the mage was busy wrestling his mule off the ground.
Glancing around at the wet ground Ka'lion believed he could follow the wolves tracks, though they led away from the path into the deeper forest.

"Thank you," said Vadania with obvious relief. Her own healing magic would not have done so well.
Not have ever learned discretion, Vadania answered, "I'm Vadania, this is Ylva <patting the wolf>, the wolf basher is Ka'lion, and the mage trying to get his mule on it's feet is Maester Belomme. We need to visit some old crypts to keep a demon away."

If you can heal me better I could use it. Maester Belomme - we work for you. I can follow the tracks but with this rain they wont be here for long. They attacked someone and any survivors may need help. It's your call.
