I thought Barbarians was the one class that couldn't read (as part of their class description). Am I remembering this wrong?

I've talked to the new player. He's still interested, just been very busy. I can understand that, so have I... Possible magical reinforcements on the way The hydra was an interesting choice of opponent, I feel the party will suffer a little for not picking up healing potions and other adventuring supplies before leaving clearwater but defeating either of the encounters here is good enough for a little stash of stuff. Assuming you can defeat if of course. Last big encounter before hitting the dungeon.

You might think Vadania was part rogue the way she's hiding and sneaking....

And lo the DM did say - "thou shalt not throw rocks at the lizardmen sentries and run up and down the ridgeline outside of their encampment with a mule in tow, lest thy be dropped in a pit before thine foolishness gets the party all killed"

Hi group!
I have not been able to keep up with the game for the last several weeks, and this probably will not change. I am thinking it is best if we assume something most terrible happened to Darrian and I step out of this game. It has as well been difficult for me to play a Wizard in 3.5, as it has been so long since I've played this version and a wizard does take a bit more effort to play well (a fair amount of decision making with spells and all). If somebody has an alternate suggestion, I'm glad to discuss.
If I do not continue, thanks for a fun game so far, and good luck!

If you just don't have the time to play a complex class like wizard you are free to bring in a different character.
If it's just a lack of time to post i'll retire Darrian and you can pick him/the game up again if you have the time and desire in the future.

I think playing a simple character, such as an archer (ranger) or sword & shield warrior (fighter), would be best if I can catch up, as I won't have to put much thought into combat related posts (which is where I am extremely rusty) or leveling up. I will try to catch up on the thread this week. You can assume Darrian is out either way. Thanks!

Being realistic, I am not going to keep up even if I play a different character. For now, I will be leaving the group. If something changes in the future I'll get in touch. Thanks.
