Being before the two empires encountered each other is fine. However the Tiefling empire was not a nice place to be. It was an evil, despotic empire that ruled by fear. It was a human empire, until the nobles made a devilish pact for more power. That led them to be transformed into the first tieflings. Only nobles became tieflings, which meant that all tieflings were nobles.

You mentioned that your best fried was a tiefling. At that time he may well have sacrificed you to become a tiefling... These were not nice people!

As for Bane, he is the god of conquest. Of the two war gods, he is the one who supports underhanded tricks to win battles (Kord favors honorable battles of strength vs. strength). On the plus side he did lead all the gods in the dawn war, defeating the primordials. While evil, he is very very good at strategy!

The whole idea was that Claros was against the devilish pacts and was killed by his best friend after he became a Tiefling. His friend, thinking that he was ridding the empire of a traitor, (which, granted, he may well have), believed that the whole of the guild that Claros belonged to was traitorous and lobbied to have them all executed. Before the final decision was made, an assassin from the guild did a number on him and sent him to join Claros in death.

Later on, I'm thinking of possibly talking the DM into using the Tiefling friend for something in a campaign that has Claros Shadosa in it. Maybe a minor character who is involved, somehow, in another attempt on Claros' life. Well, his new life, anyway. Food for thought... *returns your never-ending evil grin*

Yes, I'm waiting on Claros. Players can post in any order. I usually post for Harknail just before the monster turn to leave everyone else's options open unless I think having him move sooner helps the group or I something specie for him to do.

Posted my actions in the main thread. I moved to A-22, dropped my shroud as a free action, then drew my sword as a minor action. No standard action this round.
