I am Blastishy i have been dming for a few years now so i have lot of experience and i would like to run an online game here.
This is my description if you need more depth i can do so.
3.5 D&D game. they will be 12lv. with 11 lv gold, no psionics
no evil.
There are many continents in my world but the main one is
called SIRA
SIRA is a continent the size of Australia, but entirely a desert with mts and no mans land. and it is a very deadly place but full of riches and adventure.
I have what i like to call an open world, it is not a sandbox for mine does have plots with in them, some come from back stories other are found along the way. Also the actions and interactions the PCs do shape the world and the next events that unfold do their choices in game.
There will be lots of political factions fighting for land, water and resources. some leaders will do the best to manipulate them, some will hide the truth and others will come to the aid, it all depends on the interactions and what the party wishes to do. but their actions are on them.
What they do has global impact so they need to pick wisely to if they will get sucked in and how to help or not help.
some tribes are ran by dragons trying to take control of water sources. so different nomads bow to different dragons. telling friend from foe, is not that easy, and know who to trust with your life is even header, this is the desert after all.
Just because the dragons are lords of the dunes does not mean they can't be over throne, for others my try and rebel. the party may lead the charge, to quell the uprising, but again both have an impact big and small.
the may help outsiders make a foothold on Sira but is that the true intentions? or could there be a hidden plots deep with in their own government?
this is not just political there are a lot of monsters that are willing and eager for a meal. so if you want to kill there is more then enough to go around.
If you want dungeons, be careful for hidden they may be take caution the treasurer may be real but so is the danger, just ask Indiana Jones. the question is: is it worth the risk?
If they critters don't kill them, and the nomads don't skin them or enslave them and the dragons "spare" them or die attacking the party who lead an uprising, it will take all they have to make it out. yet if they survive the endless desert and get riches beyond their dreams the final the question is: Can they get out alive and what will they do to do so?
