O in that case yes: At this point while thinking to himself he sees walking metal next to two others that is never good when you see strange things, time to go to work and see what they are up 2. these 3 may know the direction to the library but they may be up to something best find out.

Barbatos shakes his head at the question and then glances down at his shadowy robes wondering if his new attire was going to be more trouble that it was worth - it didn't seem to be giving the best first impressions.
(did the floating stones power fade when Barbatos left the crater?)

Sorry he is a cop like i said so well hes going down the line of questioning as all cops do. Also i did not know what you had on but yes to a cop he may think necromancer and try an arrest. My character may not fully know for his arcane is not great, nor is this his jurisdiction and he can't blow his cover.

Barbatos waited for one of his companions to answer. His memory still hadn't returned and his pockets were still light, but these two had proven trustworthy companions in difficult circumstances. to a cop he may think necromancer and try an arrest |

The big construct looks puzzled by the comments of the newcomer. When it spoke it's voice was strange and it's language archaic. "If thee understandth not why to come hither, then why thee goeth so far from thou homeland?"
Trying to be of service, Harknail answered what questions he could, "I know not of public records. Curuvar the Brazen hath many books, I helped bring him a cart of books from Draigdurroch tower."
Harknail continued, "I be here for when I escaped from being buried, the town was here. But most cometh here for adventure. Remnants of empires past abound here. But so hath many dangers. Most who come hither to seeketh adventure lasteth not long."

Can you help me find this Curuvar he may be helpful. Also is it still possible to get to this tower from here? For it may be important that I get there as soon as possible. Yet I must look at the books first for there is no sense in going out there for no reason. If in fact i would need to go there then if you could lead me there it would be most beneficial to my work. I now understand how one of you got here but what is a bit more pressing is what the 3 of you are doing in this city. I may point out that the three of you do stand out and draw much attention to yourselves. I'm asking for the more i know about this city and what people here can do, the faster i can do my job. When i'm done i can head back home but not until then and time is of the essence."
They could be leading him into a trap as far as the tower was concerned but that was latter. Yet they have no sign of aggression to him yet. nor were they being untruthful if they were here to brake the law then they ether are the best lairs he has ever seen. The capes they had on were such a contradiction too. If they were in an occult 2 were standing out as bright as day. they don't seam stupid for one could give history of things, So they had to know a cop would see them like this. The best liars and hiding in plain sight? This day was very strange the faster he did his job the better.

" The guards have better things to do like keep the city safe and arrest people who brake the law. That is their job so it is best not to distract them form doing it. Because I did not wish to preoccupy them I though i could find them on my own. I had no such luck in doing so and that is when i saw the three of you. I am surprised they even let you in wearing those, i would think they would have questioned you at the gate because of them."

He just flashed a badge show them a document and was let in. he is not going to say that for telling them he is a cop only blows his cover nor is he being unhonest with them. For he does think its their job and best not to distract them.

Harknail replied, "Aye, I can bring thee hence to Curuvar the Brazen. And, Aye, thou can still reach Draigdurroch tower, it be about a half day walk from here. But there be not much left there other than a place to shelter for a night."
In response to his question as to what there doing here, Harknail replied, "They be here cause I hath invited them. They helpeth save Elk Ridge. And I be here cause I helped save light house and I helped save farms. The town gave me this moon shield in thanks."

He can see that they are not lying to him. " It seams to me then we are on the same side then" He shows them his symbol of Kord.
"I too also protect others, i am a undercover investigator and it is my job to help keep other safe as well. One can't be to careful or trusting in unknown land and i apologize for how i acted. I needed to know what side your on and your cloaks did give off a different impression. Helping save farmers is a good and just act to do and i can see your on the side of good. Right now i'm on a very important mission and it is of absolute importance that i complete it. For i fear dark powers may get a hold of it first and if they do then the fate of the world will be throne in to absolute chaos. This i can't let happen and the records my hold the key to finding what i seek at least i hope so."

I found on can fight from reading books and looking up things such as artifacts and other things. One must keep these things form evil forces so they cant use them. In the right hands good will rise and kord will be brought much joy. with that the land will be safe as would the innocent. That brings me back to the subject of my current mission. I need you to take me to Curuvar as soon as possible. like i said its a matter of most importance Kord will need both our help 4 the evil forces will not sit by as you know and i fear I can't win this fight alone. It is our duty to stop them, if you wish to protect others as do I then helping me will protect them. Are you with me?"
He stretches out his hand to give Harknail a handshake

Barbatos found the man before him to be a curious contradiction, an undercover investigator who seemed eager to speak at length about his profession to strangers in the street, a man of words and books seeking joy and innocence in the name of the god of battles and physical contest.
This was indeed a strange land, and those who followed the gods here were the strangest of all. He found himself eager to see the records himself, if only to learn a little of the history of the land and what kind of madhouse he had washed up on.

As Harknail reaches out for a handshake, Zem notices that Harknail's hand only has two thick fingers and a thumb.
Harknail leads Zem to the home of Curuvar the Brazen. Along the way the silent Claros drifts off to explore on his own.
After a knock on the door of the home of Curuvar the Brazen, the door is opened by human male wearing glistening black leather armor.

From the other point of view: There was a knock on the door. Curuvar asked Aelos, "Can you get that?"
When Aelos opens the door he notices a large hulking thing. A steel plated construct of some kind. Also there is a human male wearing shadowdance robes, and a Elven male wearing chainmail.
Aelos recognizes the shadowdance armor becasue he's a master crafter of magic items, though he can't make that particular armor. The trick of spinning dim light into threads has been lost...

Aelos looks at the somewhat odd group. He stops for a moment, somewhat confused by Harknail, then realizes he should probably speak up.
"Curuvar is in, but may I ask who you are and what your business is?"
