Aelos looks the guests over, but has no real reason to deny them entrance.
"Just a moment, please come in."
He then heads off to get Curuvar and let him know some... interesting guests have arrived.
So I got a new job in San Fransisco, and it's going to make me super busy. Expecting to get home at about 10 pm on weekdays, so not sure if I'm going to be able to keep up with game. If you don't mind late posting, I can post on weekends or whenever I'm not super tired from commute/work. Also, next week leaving for a wedding and will be gone Wed to Sunday/Monday.

the cleric heads in thankful he did not have to pull this is an investigation, people hate that especially when it comes to their homes. they tend to get testy and say the person is not home or defend the person, stall for what ever reason etc. he was lucky he was let in so fast, but game face on time, it was time to get to work.
as he walks into the house he looks around for the person he needs to meet. when he sees him. true to his word he explains in full when the party is all in the house and the door is shut.
" I know you all wondering who i am and why i am here. My name is Zem and i am here as a undercover investigator. I have an ongoing investigation and I need all of your help for i can't do this alone. As to why i am here, where i come from it is my duty to hunt down artifacts and powerful magics and keep them out of enemy hands so they can't use them. The one i am hunting right now, the clues i have found have led me to this land. I think more clues may be in the books you got from a tower. I am hopping they could shed some light and possibly help me find it before evil does. the Gods only know what they will do with it if they get there first. after i look at your books i will be on my way i promise, but first i must have your permission so that i can help save lives. My i look at your books sir?"

OOC: Just a reminder that no one has given Zem a description of what Curuvar looks like. Zem has no way to know which of the three men are Curuvar.
As Zem enteres he sees a middle aged male dragonborn and an elderly male tiefling sitting at a table loaded with books, some of them open.
As Zem concludes his speech the tiefling chuckles and replies, "If the ancient artifacts have been buried that long, then they are likely safer there than in your hands. After all, it will be much easier for the forces of evil to remove them from you, once you've found and gathered these items. And some of these long lost relics have a mind of their own, such as Harknail there, who is a relic of the Netherese empire."

" I see your point, but i have reason to think they are not buried just forgotten and hidden but clues are always left behind no matter how well hidden. some are not all that well hidden and that worries me a great deal. The evil that hunts them has more ways of finding them then i do. my report has found a # of their evil occult is here, of what god i don't know. All i know is they are here and must be stopped. They are looking high and low for them and all over the continent. They will stop at nothing to find them many will die or worse. They may come here and kill you all for all i know. It is only a matter of time before they find them no matter what i do. they don't know i'm here nor will they and that may be the key to stopping them for they will not see me coming. Once i find the artifacts i'm not just going to flash it at them and say "come and get it" or let them track me to the spot for i'm not stupid. as long as they don't know i'm here they will not even think to track me. I have been doing this a long time 4 i know how to keep them out of their hands quite well. otherwise i would be dead and many more artifacts would be in enemy hands . My job is to stop them and that is what i'm going to do and i could use all the help i can get. if i have to die for it so be it, but ill not stand by and do nothing and let them win. I must defend and protect Harknail from this day forth for he is now my responsibility. I will not let him be taken or used by them. they may be hunting him and come looking for him anyway. so i have to fight them regardless if i go looking for the other artifacts or not i might as well get and use any advantage i have . look i don't have much time to stand here and argue, will you help me or not?"

Curuvar answers, "I didn't say I wouldn't help you, but there would be a price. But you aren't going to find anything here quickly. Many of the books are so delicate that they will fall apart if not handled slowly and with the utmost care. And even if you limit yourself to the sturdier books, there are many to go though."

If the others in this room wish to join me and help me i would be grateful. i'm not going to force anyone if they don't wish to take this on but the more help the better. "

Curuvar chuckles again, "Have no fear, I have no use for artifacts. What I need is simply gold or more knowledge. You can fetch it yourself, or pay me in gold so that I may hire others for rare knowledge."

Curuvar had the right idea, "if you are willing to pay for help in your investigation then I am in the market, but if you were hoping for a loan then I can't help you"
Chasing around after cults didn't sound particularly healthy to Barbatos but it was better than going hungry and sleeping in the street.

I fell we can find someway to get you what you seek, new books or scrolls perhaps?. we would need to save a few for Mr. Curuvar if that is the road we take. Anything left over that are not dark magics or artifacts we can dived it up so that all who come are evenly paid. does this work for you?"

" A mage? well then i could use the help on the book work for more pair of eyes reading them the better. you may be able to help me with arcane glyphs for i did study but it is not my strong suit. old rummer was a few once read blow up and i rather avoid them if i can. I can do as you ask in your payment."

The tiefling answered, "That depends on how many you destroy in your quick search. If you're careful and don't damage the books it would be a gold piece per day per person." A quick glance around the room shows enough books that it would take weeks to go though them carefully.
Curuvar continued, "But since you're in such a hurry, why don't you tell me what you're looking for? Then I can give you a cost for that specific information. I know you're looking for ancient relics, but which relics? And from which empire?"

(( I was hoping you had something in mind of the next location for use to go to was. I was trying to set it where we had a quest but we found info about it along the way. He has no real clue other then it is on this continent. I though it better if you made up what the relic was and from what empire, that way if u had something already set up it could be from there. This was just to get party together, the fine detail of what are after i think should be up to you not him for he honestly would not know.))
