A few inaccurate arrows fly towards Ka'lion as he runs out, though the goblins are forced to stay back out of the range of the archers in the camp and there is little threat of harm, they are likely shooting at the sign of movement.

Peering out Vadania can see a few clustered under trees or sheltering under shields, likely to thin out as the rain gets heavier but they would not leave the camp unwatched. A wolf running out did not raise any alarm however, perhaps the invisibility potion would get Vadania far enough from the camp to escape pursuit.

Vadania realized that the Goblins weren't going to leave completely. The potion of invisibility would get her past the goblins, but then Ylva wouldn't be able to see her to follow her.

Vadania thought for a moment, then drank the potion. Putting a hand on Ylva's neck, Vadania said "Let's go," and then took off running.

Unsure of how long the effect will last Vadania runs back towards the forest to the West as quickly as she can manage.

The invisibility persists only a scant few minutes as the elf seeks cover amongst the trees, glancing back over her shoulder Vadania is unsure if her escape has been noticed, but is confidant that the goblins will not be able to track her once clear of the area.


There are several hours of daylight left, and Burr Town is four days travel away. The first decision will be whether or not to travel through the night or to seek shelter now, the rope hammocks used before would provide little comfort in the rain and storm to come.

Ka'lion will keep them moving until morning regardless of the weather. Any shelter they find in the area is bound to be checked regularly by the goblins.

Vadania disagrees with Ka'lion's thoughts on Goblins, or would if he could say them.

Still she is not disinclined to stay moving and active during the night. She can see reasonably well, as long as Ka'lion can function at night they can keep moving.

as a wolf Ka'lion can see as well as an elf can. After dawn he'll look for some place to sleep.

The nights rain brings a low morning mist and the groups pace slows as they work their way through the forest in the general direction of Burr Town, wet, cold, and tired from their nights travel.

As Vadania stops to prepare her spells for the day Ka'lion circles out scouting the area and spots an old stone tower peeking up through the trees and mist, perhaps half a mile distant. It seemed odd for there to be a building so far out in the middle of nowhere, perhaps it marked a path, river, farm, or mining community.

Ka'lion will lead the group towards the tower but he's on the alert for signs of other creatures.

Vadania will prepare her spells while Ka'lion scouts for a place to rest. Now that Ka'lion has armor, she swaps Barkskin for Bull's Strength.

When Ka'lion returns and tells her about the tower (after she's finished recharging her spells), Vadania remembers the last tower they camped in. Still, it was better than camping in the open, so she goes with him to check it out.

Did Ka'lion refresh his Cantrips at dusk?

Did those under siege by the goblins need more food? I.E. does Vadania still have trail rations?

Ka'lion's carrying 2 cure minor wounds and 2 light spell. Ka'lion returns to human form so they can talk and so he does not scare anyone at the tower needlessly.

If they needed it, Vadania would leave the food. They provided considerable help and guidance, leaving them a bit of food was small payment. Removed Trail Rations from Vadania's character sheet.

Vadania greats the return of Ka'lion with, "OK, I have my spells back again. I now have a spell to make one of us stronger when strength is needed, could be handy in a fight. So what did you find?"

"A tower. I didn't get close enough to it to know more then that but we do need to get some rest. I'm for putting up hammocks in the trees here and getting some sleep. Once we have enough rest and the sun is up and the fog has cleared we take a look at the tower and figure out where to go next." said Ka'lion

Vadania was confused, "If we're going to rest out here, why would we bother to check out the tower? Why not just continue on to Burrtown?"

"Well, that depends on what your looking for. I'm looking for additional supplies and perhaps some help. I need another level or two as a druid and as a barbarian then I may be ready to study as a shape shifter. The reason I don't want to check the tower out before we are well rested is we have been traveling all night and in the last camp they wanted to fill me with arrows." said Ka'lion

Vadania smiled as she answered, "I don't think we're going to find that in an old abandoned tower. But we might find better shelter to rest."

Decision time - stay here, go to the tower, or move on?

"We don't know it's abandoned. We only know it's there. But as you wont follow me lead on." said Ka'lion

Vadania replies, "I don't want to go much further. I need to meditate for a while to recharge. The only question is if you want to check out the tower first, and rest there if it's suitable."
