The entangle spell holds it for now, Vadania knows the spell will only last a few minutes and the scorpion has rolled onto a slope - whatever Garrot did to retract its legs he needs to undo before it slips free and continues on its way.

Vadania looks for rocks or tree limbs she can use to prop it in place before the entangle spell fades.

He grabs his rope, ties grapel hock and flings to hock it on the top so he can climb up the large contraption.

( heard from ka'lions player today. He moved into new place and his internet and phone lines are down. So he asked me to update what his character was doing.)
( ka'lion actions are to ride on runnaway and go and get the sister when she left and will come back with her. He made the idea to tie rope around contraption tie it hourse and have it pull it. So to say in short with time of events everyone is at camp. )

George hooks a rope over the top from the far side of the construct, though is concerned that rocking it may break it free of the entanglement (climb test)Vadania finds a large-ish log but knows it will only hold the device so long as it doesn't start flailing around again, it's legs are clearly strong enough to push it away from any makeshift barricade. Garrot can sort of hear what the others are saying, but he is having trouble concentrating because he is having so much fun! He realizes he needs to get the scorpion working again so he tries to feel about and remember which levers he pushed to engage the legs. He will try and get close to the levers and identify them quickly, while the ropes/entangle still hold.

Garrot manages to find the levers without pushing any by accident. He's not entirely sure which would do which but be can at least orient himself relative to the exit.
The question is - does he pull one at a time until he gets it right or wrong, or does he pull as many as he can as quickly as he can and gamble on the good outweighing the bad.

Garrot studies the array of levers and part of him says that he should select one lever at a time and see if he can isolate the proper lever. The other part of his brain says he should just lay into them all and see what happens. He scratches his head and ultimately decides that he will reign in his desires and will try pushing the levers one at a time.

Vadania will shout out the results of each lever as seen from the outside, hoping that Garrot can hear her.

he decides not to climb he needs to wait to see what the pilot was doing in there. he starts to mudder under his breath a few prayers just incase the worst was to happen.

Garrot starts pulling levers but nothing happens. Working his way along one by one each movement is met with no response by the construct until he reaches a shorter one that, when pulled, causes the whole thing to bounce around shaking him off his seat once more.
Outside Vadania sees the legs push out once more easily breaking free of the entanglement but also stabilising the construct in place.

Garrot laughs as he falls from the seat. He hasn't had this much fun since the portal you could step through and poke arrows through. He will get back up into the seat, and will yell out loudly "Want me to try and move it again?"

Still in utter darkness and remembering the furnace door to nowhere on the front of the barrel Garrot reaches forward, grabs the handle, and lifts the heavy metal door up allowing daylight to stream into the barrel through the grime-covered front window. Peering under the newly lit front hatch he finds a pair of metal rods that can be rotated down to prop the hatch open, and outside he can see Vadania standing at a safe distance peering in.
Very little noise makes it into or out of the barrel however.

George not wasting time uses make whole on the damaged leg. If it needs more he has two more. His main idea was to fix this thing before crazzyness started.

Georges spell does have some limited effect but the leg is not just broken but physically warped out of shape - it's going to need to be twisted back into alignment before the spell can fully restore it.
For now the leg does not appear to interfere with the movement of the construct other than causing it to veer constantly to one side unless corrected but it will cause it to roll over if the other legs are retracted again.

(the party may want to declare a quest/destination/goal so I can give you somewhere to go rather than random plot hooks)

Garrot's personality would likely lead him to vote for whatever either was (1) the most novel quest or (2) the most likely to produce neat treasure. Can we break down what our options are at this point?
