I am fine with any, but Garrot will be hard pressed to leave this scorpion/crab thing sitting in the forest, so he would vote for The secrets of Zceryll

You can bring it with you on other adventures (and the crab isn't actually part of the quest anyway) - it's just NPCs that get swapped out between quests. Obviously it may be difficult to take some places though so you'd need to stash it somewhere before, for instance, going back to the tower portal.

Vadania is committed to breaking the siege, though she's tolerating short side quests that the others want to do (talk to wizard, investigate scorpion construct). If we can get it working (i.e. fix the leg), this could be a big advantage in the siege, changing our tactics completely. I'm thinking almost invulnerable tank attacking infantry. So Vadania is willing to spend some time on this.
After the siege, Vadania's long term goals are the protect the fell (she is a druid after all), but to have some company while doing so. At that point she'll be open to any side quests that others want to do. We've leveled enough that getting the underwater treasure will be much easier (breathe water spells). Defeating the demon (specifically getting it out of the fell) is still her long term goal, so I'd like to see occasional progress on that front, either fighting skirmishes that weaken the demons forces, or collecting items to improve our power (so we can fight demons).
We may well have an In character discussion of where to go next after the siege. We have many possibilities.
Also Ka'lion will be offline at least till the 30th (that's when he should get a phone line). Unknown how much longer to get internet again, but hopefully that will be much faster.

Despite the damage to the constructs leg it appears more than capable of moving on those that remain - while it will take constant attention from whoever controls it to prevent it from veering off it doesn't seem to affect it's speed, at least from what has been seen.
Repairing the leg looks like it will take at very least a crowbar and a great deal of brute strength, more than the group can easily muster anyway.

"Ok so we got it stable enought, so one thing that went right today."
george stands next to the druid.
" I cant tell if he can hear us. But its stable now at least."
He gives a thumb up just in case. He then makes a hand motion to sign not to move any more levers and for garrot to get out.

Garrot can see the hatch lever in the light from the front window. After his earlier experiments he thinks he could keep the thing going in a straight line as long as he avoids the lever that retracts the legs, but it could be hard going over uneven terrain until he gets better at it.

Garrot jumps out of the Scopo-crab thingy and jumps up and down, sopping wet and excited. He says "Did you guys see that? That was fun! Can I drive it again? I think I can drive it now without rolling it over, which would have been fun too, maybe we can use this thing!" He runs out of air before he runs out of things to say about the craboscorp device.

( george is finaly making head way on garrots growth, thank goodness one member is alowing George to do his job.)
There is a smile on his face for once
" Yes we did and great skills even i could not do that. yes you may drive it, im apointing you its driver tho it belongs to all of us. In time you can train the rest of us so we can all drive it. It rolling over could have killed you. I was not about to risk your life on backing it up. It on solid and non incline is better pratice and less risk. I had to train my brother to drive my waggon once. flat even land is best to learn on at first, then we can try more complicated things."

So unless your minds have changed i'll post up the journey back east on tuesday - returning to the goblin siege.
If there are any stops or other things you were planning on doing en-route then post them now.

Vadania is thinking there there might be a blacksmith in Burr town that could help us fix the broken leg. The question is how badly did we burn our bridges by our hasty departure, and if we can repair them once people know that we're off to save others.
The thought is that the machine would move faster and be more accurate in combat if it didn't need constant compensating for the broken leg.

Vadania does recall there was also blacksmith at the besieged camp. Burr Town is far closer though.
As the group contemplate the best route to the monastery, likely south towards Merebas and then northeast along the old road, Garrot recalls those he encountered on his way here.
The spellcasting girl in the forest with the shadow wolves. He couldn't place her name but remembers catching a glimpse of her during the morning watch with a rune inscribed cloth much like the one they just found - though he never saw the exact symbol.
(was looking back through the posts to get the names of the NPCs you past and noticed that Garrot had actually seen one of these rune seals in action, albeit not clearly enough to try and use one himself)

Garrot is talking frantically about the scorpocrab when he sees Vadania putting away the canvas with the seals on it. He stops mid-sentence as he sees the canvas and recalls the seal in his mind. His eyes grow wide and he stands perfectly still for a moment, with his mouth agape, staring into space beyond the canvas.
He then looks at Vadania and says "I recognize the design on that canvas! I saw it on her! I saw it!" He beings jumping up and down excitedly, talking faster as he goes. "we wereinthewoodsand...thedarkdoggies! TheywereattackingusandIwasonwatchandI....(deep breath) I saw a woman in the forest with that symbol!". He then looks abashed, realizing he isn't sure what good that does and slowly stops bouncing around the group.

(he didn't see the exact symbol - but it was certainly similar. Though it glowed green rather than white when unfurled)

Guys i told u all to leave it alone and leave it be. Dark dogs or hell hounds? one has fire other does not. In any case if she had this on her, then it only proves then all the more reason not to have it on us. like this weapon in enemy hands its bad. So thank you garrot for the info, know i know evil clerics could be looking for it, to use it.

Vadania answered, "Summonings don't need to be evil. I'm not saying this one isn't evil, just that we don't know. So I'll bring it with me and give it to someone who can figure it out. Then they can either use it for good or destroy it as they see fit. I do agree with you that we don't want to play with this ourselves."

Vadania does recall there was also blacksmith at the besieged camp. Burr Town is far closer though. The question is how badly did we burn our bridges in Burr Town? If we went back would we be greeted with curiosity about where we were going in such a hurry, or hostility? Vadania would like to try getting this fixed before attacking the goblins rather than after (though it may need more repairs afterwards). If nothing else, an obvious week leg would make it look more vulnerable. So unless someone thinks the reception will be hostile (or has other objections), Vadania is inclined to go back to Burr Town to see if we can get Garrot's new toy fixed.

The question is how badly did we burn our bridges in Burr Town? The group didn't act against the town itself, Ka'lion simply threatened to wander off to parts unknown with the key to fighting the demons unless he was paid off. -if you want to head to Burr town then you can assume that you meet up again with Ka'lion at some point. Is this what the group wants to do?

Undecided on the best course of action the group never the less begins their journey, following Ka'lions trail southeast until such time as they find him or he finds them - the construct leaves a trail so wide and distinct that he could not fail to find them should they not cross paths - in any event they should find him long before they must decide on entering Burr Town unless he has already gone there himself.
A mix of Garrots inexperience, the trees, and the uneven terrain make it slow going as the last of the water continues to swirl around inside but the damaged leg holds up well enough and Garrot is even able to make crude but powerful swipes with the claws at the front, though he doubts he could catch anything not immobile in their grasp unless they were cornered or caught unawares.
As they look for their companion Vadania and Garrot have the opportunity to fill in George on their earlier adventures, in particular Vadania points out that summoner and her friends aided them against the wolves. (feel free to add any details of your own)
(what is Ka'lions internet situation? Has he stated what he wanted to do if he caught up with Xana, does he want to go to Burr Town?) If it will be any significant time before he can post I would prefer to just get his answer(s) and continue on rather than having the game stall.

I can call him and ask about this, yet i feel its only fair to notify him before we make that call. I took what he told me last was that he would have been back before construct was about to go over but since u said he was not back i have no idea what he would do next, that being the case he needs to be asked.)
