( so i have talked to him found out a few things: when he moved out and into a new place, the phone company has taken a little less then month and still have not fully fixed his land line. It should be fixed in next 2 days. He needs long distance to contact people who can help fix his internet .This has caused set backs in him posting. Right now his eta is the 9th. He is very sorry for any disruption this has caused.)

This is from him : He would have tried stoped her before she even left or got to far from the party. Its not important enought to let it distract him. He has no ventured interest in keeping her with the party, so if to hard he would have just let her go and stayed with the group. Yet fo to the confusion and the given situation he will meet the party before they had to make the decision to go to town or not. He is now back with the party.)

He is now back with the party. Did he express any opinion one way or another on returning to Burr Town? With regards to Xana, it can be assumed he pursued briefly until the terrain became too thick for runaway as he's not here to play out any conversation. She's returning to Burr Town anyway so he can find her there if he wanted. By the time he gets back Garrot has already lost and regained control of the construct and the group are ready to move on.

The group rejoins the road south of Burr Town a little after mid-day, Lynette noting that the road was built to connect the main road from Merebas to the now flooded mines.
By continuing along this road to the south the party knows that they will eventually reach a fork which will direct them back north and east to the monastery, the road itself should be easy travelling for the construct and party.
Burr Town is not far from here. If the party wishes to return to town they must decide now.
(vote yes to return, no to continue on, or abstain)

Vadania votes yes. She wants to get Garrot's new toy fixed before battle.

The group descends the hill towards Burr Town, angling towards the western keep rather than the town itself as Vadania had seen the forge within the keeps walls.
The guards seem surprised to see them and alarmed by the construct but are not hostile, approaching Vadania and the others as they near the gate.

If sageaqua cannot post for a few weeks then I can run a little solo side adventure if you and Harknail are interested. Two weeks isn't much in play by post though so it's going to have to be a short dungeon crawl or a single encounter - perhaps returning to find what became of Melwyn, or scouting out the road ahead while Garrot and Ka'lion bring up the rear with their horse and construct unable to travel through the thicker terrain.
One of you could do the first of the named item quests, such as for Vadania's sword. I'm open to suggestions.

I think Ka'lion should be back online soon. He has his phone line fixed, now he just needs to get his internet provider to connect to his new phone line. I think his internet provider gets things done much quicker than AT&T, so the only delay is likely to be the 4th of July holiday. I'd expect to see him posting sometime next week, probably earlier than later in the week.
So maybe we should get our business done in town while Ka'lion is quiet and not making them madder at us.

The guards seem surprised to see them and alarmed by the construct but are not hostile, approaching Vadania and the others as they near the gate. " Hello!" hails Vadania. Once they're close enough for conversation, she explains that the reason they left quickly is that there is another group that needs to be saved from siege. They got distracted on their way out of town, but stumbled across this ancient construct and she thinks it might help them break the siege, especially if they can fix the damage. So we're here to visit the blacksmith, then we'll be on our way again.

The guard allows the group through, "what city? Lady Alara will want to know"
Vadania corrects George, it is not a city under siege but a small camp, the survivors of the attack on the monestary of the flame to the east.
Inside the walls of the outer keep the construct draws quite some attention. Efforts to reinforce the keep after the attack are well underway and the smith and his apprentices are busy at work, but more than happy to help with the construct - more than a few were prisoners of the Ibixian only days ago.
The group has a few moments to gather supplies and information before they leave.

George has most the info he needs,
" Look i know u want to show off a certian item to see what it is. i don't trust any of them, including altar. I never fully trusted him from the start. He then ridiculed one of our own and openly caused almost hostilities over a disagreement. causing us to leave when we needed to stay and rest up .all this do to last time we were hear and weapons were almost drawn i might add. So until I find someone i do trust other then yourself, ka'lion and garrot it stays put. cross me on this and ill leave the party. I am putting a lot of faith and trust in you, i ask u not to abuse it." ( he means what he says he will leave the party if u talk about or show other npcs or try to use it.)

Vadania is surprised by George's strong reaction. She saw the reaction of the members of the flame as restrained, considering how Ka'lion was first insisting on dooming everyone in the vale, then then trying extortion in order to allow them to fight the demon. It would had been so much easier if anyone else there had gone for the book first. But that wasn't how things happened. At least the order had a copy of the book now. She answered George, " I found the orders of the flame to be very trustworthy, but in any case, I'm not planing on staying here long enough to show anyone anything. Eldon and Altair weren't who I had in mine anyway."
