Garrot looks at Lynette and says "I am a treasure hunter! Or I was before I met up with these guys, they had found the neatest place full of mirrors and fountains. We ran away from there. We do that a lot!" He grins beneath his mask and trots over to look at the newcomer's cloak.
It seems our DM is a fellow browncoat. What does that make us? Big Damn Heroes sir!

"Melwyn lives an hour or so that way", pointing beyond the keep towards the hills, "off the path to the old flooded mine"

OOC: Is that along the way back to the siege? Also how many days travel back to the siege?

"All right that's where we are headed, Garrot you can ride with me if you wish." said Ka'lion, "Hopefully the wizard has things for trade that we can use."

OOC: Is that along the way back to the siege? Also how many days travel back to the siege? It is in the other direction.
According to my notes it is a full 4 day journey between Burr Town and the camp along the most direct route, but that was for Vadania and Ka'lion - 6 days would be a more realistic estimate with the expanded group

"That will add another two hours at least," commented Vadania. But considering that it had been nearly a week since they were last there, another two hours isn't that big of a delay.
OOC: We might be able to move faster now. Vadania has lighter armor, and if he want's too, Ka'lion's horse could carry those who can't keep up (George because of armor and Garrot due to size).
What did we end up with in the way of extra arrows?

What did we end up with in the way of extra arrows? Garrot picked up 4 quivers of 20 arrows each.
While the horse can carry Garrot and George the direct path was through heavy brush part of the way. The more open path comes in from the south and would require a slight detour to find.

Garrot nods and mounts the horse behind Ka'alion.

"if anyone get get someone to throw a fireball at us, it would be Ka'lion," jests Vadania in return.

"I'll have to see if I can get him mad at me. I don't think it would help much though. Let's head out. Two to four hours wont make that much of a diffence and the ibaxian may of attacked the wizard and any students there. And the wizard may have magic devices we can trade for." adds Ka'lion, "As for the fireball. I don't think it's going to come from the wizard as we are visiting with one of his students. On the other hand The deathknight we saw holding the golden sword. If I remember my grandmothers warning about the undead correctly they can cast fireballs. I'm not looking forward to that encounter at all."

"As this trip is going to take us a while. Lynette what can you tell us about the cloaks and the wizard?" asked Ka'lion

We're off to see the wizard...
Vadania asks as they travel, "What is Melwyn like? Do you think he'll mind company?"

"Melwyn always has company, he makes some of the wine we sell in the town. You'd think he'd be rich but he seems to spend it all - some people think he's stockpiling it but nobody knows where."
"As for the capes, they are shields. All the rips and tears repair themselves when you expose them to their element", Lynette throws her cloak open and draws a sword, poking at the air infront of her while holding the cape over her other arm. She doesn't seem much better at it than anyone else but Garrot notes that her footwork and swordplay is good.
"Each cape stores up a little of it's power, if you have the gift you can draw on it."

The journey continues up through the hills following a winding but well trodden path for a little over an hour before Melwyns house comes into view, or rather houses. A large tree-enclosed clearing holds a number of wooden buildings, streams and ponds, and decorative structures.
The Ibixian or others have clearly been here as the large gated entrance has been broken down and the closest building ransacked. A larger structure that Lynette identifies as Melwyn's house, is further up the hill and not clearly visible from here.

"Well if they are magic shields. All of our defenses just improved, unless they require specialized training to use. And they are much lighter then our current shields are. That's good. And helpful. So every night fall the moon cloaks should be self repairing. That's very helpful. But do you know what the power each cloak is?" asked Ka'lion

"It looks to me as if the ibaxien did come here. Everyone alert!" say's Ka'lion lowering Garrot to the ground quietly, so he can disappear into the shadows if he needs to and getting off of his horse. "Captain do you want me to scout ahead?"

Garrot dismounts and moves off the path, preparing to either move forward, or blend into the foliage. He makes a note to ask the newcomer what she meant about "the gift" later. For now he holds his spear and prepares to move out to scout out the village.

It is not a village so much as a villa, though individual builds are large enough for a family the main house is a large two story mansion on the hill which appears to have been built from several linked buildings over the years.
During the long journey up here Lynette explained that she is descended directly from one of the old guard and for all her life has been able to imbue things with frost. She also tells stories of the people of the old fell and legends of those who mastered the elements, though the connection to the watch guard, the stormwalker line, and the druids are hazy at best.
The gist of the stories is that long ago, before the dwarven kingdoms and before the great war four mighty elementals were bound to the will of man, and a little of that power has seeped down through the ages in the blood of the victors descendants.
