If you wish to play wealth by the book, this is your character's current situation. Minor items (cheap armour/shields/weapons/food/clothes/etc) are not counted against your wealth unless you buy and sell them for cash or take them in excessive quantities. Ka'lionITEM | VALUE | Stone ax head

This is more helpful to me but I like the npc encounters and I understand Georges frustrations so far. It has been frustrating for both of us. 1/2 return on items is standerd in the game. But the way the items have been presented in the game they often sound like they are worth more then they are. When you tell me they are artifacts - I imedeitely think 50,000 or more. If you tell me that they are custum items - then I'm going to be more flexable depending on the item in question
Unique ( meaning these are custum or upgraded items ) Graves' robes - Shadowsilk mammoth leather of nimbleness = 3500 ( but now that I know its value and that I need to lose some coin for game balance (Dan if we keep excess coin we will get more dangerious encounters then we have hit points for) I have a better idea of what things are worth:
Magic warhammer 2312 Magic holy symbol 1050 Acid dagger 2302 Hat of disguise 1800
for the shadowsilk mammoth leather of nimbleness and the weapons on the table - I'm redusing the treasure I'm carrying by 3,960 gold with this trade or near to it? It's not where I'm supposed to be at but it's much closer to it. But I would need to also get enough to pay Vasty his fees they are inconvenent but reasonable. By next level I should be nearly where I should be treasure wise. I love custum items myself but sometimes they are hard to understand as to whats reasonable and what issent. Sorry if I've been a problem in the game about it.
The Armour of Izalith Pitspawned Darksteel Chain Hauberk Armor with armour spikes = 3000 (includes darksteel spiked gauntlets) Goerge can't wear this if he is going to be riding with Ka'lion and its just going to gey entangled on the way.

When you tell me they are artifacts - I imedeitely think 50,000 or more. If you tell me that they are custum items - then I'm going to be more flexable depending on the item in question They are actually relic items, they get more powerful as you level up provided you complete the relic quests (which cost money). By 20 level for instance the hammer (if fully unlocked) costs 56312gp and drains 12 hitpoints, 1 attack point, and 8 spell slots. At that point it is also a +5 magical weapon with a raft of potent special abilities - so it is an artifact, but it's one you can start with at low levels and work up. I'm redusing the treasure I'm carrying by 3,960 gold with this trade or near to it? It's not where I'm supposed to be at but it's much closer to it. It's one system or the other i'm afraid - double or single. However you can consider the fees paid in full regardless of which system you end up in - either as part of a trade for the armour or wiped away in the system switch. In a basic wealth by level system costs like identification, etc, just come out of whatever cash you have in your pocket - which just requires it to be not used on items. Once you head out and adventure again you get that cash back, as well as gold for replacement potions, scrolls, etc until you are back to your listed wealth level.

Ka'lion likes the axe better. The issue for Ka'lion is weights and because the hammer is detracted to Palor he;d never believe he could unlock it's powers. The axe doesn't have those hang up, but he also doesn't know where to begin upgrading either. I prefer the double and npc encounters.

I prefer the double and npc encounters. Take your time to talk it through with George's player, no hurry.

Ok after long conversation we have came to an understanding if this works out.
Ka'lion should have 1,500 gp of mine from other selling of weapon.
They split the 3,000 in half. Giving him gp to buy hat back. H
e then sells dagger, amulet and hammer for armor he wants costing 3,500.
We split the 17 healing poitions between us. I was at the time buying for party of 4.
I then buy with my gp the pearl armor.
Sell my breastplate to gaurds or here if he can, buy masterwork or enchanted sheild, also including the sell my tower shield, as a set he would call it.
Less weight and everyone is happy for we have way less riches but things we want and can use. Does that work out?
Also we want to keep it how loot and npcs are now,
so no change needed, keep as is. I came to understand a lot of his key points and saw he was right.

We'd like to keep things as the are and lose treasure for npc encounters and trading for things we can us.

He then sells dagger, amulet and hammer for armor he wants costing 3,500. The hammer and amulet alone would cover the shadow armour - Osbern had already said he'd even throw in the silvered weapons for the group. Ka'lion can keep the dagger. You can exchange your breastplate and share of the scythe cash for the pearlsteel, and swap your tower shield for any form of masterwork shield. This will leave Ka'lions character a fair way ahead of George as the scythe was in there to even out the characters (after Ka'lion had acquired things like the amulet to push him ahead of the others) - so no more big treasure for Ka'lion for a little while. He may want to keep some of that cash to hand though for his legacy-axe ritual at 5th level. I'll update the main thread with the first of these exchanges a little later on.
