Shakes and Lin! Another pair I had hoped would show up! (Though I'm still not entirely unconvinced they aren't the same person. ) I still regret not getting together the one time I was in the NY. I was headed there again last year and then Sandy made it's way through...I think the fates just don't want me to ever get to NY. That or Shake and Lin are collectively demi-gods protecting their domain. And Wicksy! I still need to get across the pond some day and get smashed in a soccer pub with you fools! Good to see you too! And I think it sent an email to whatever email you registered with, which some people may not have anymore...I certainly don't have the same email any more. I'll get my new game post together here shortly. Give another day or so for people to check antiquated email addresses etc. Yeah man, it'd be good to have you if you can make it across! They're all soccer pubs over here so you have some choice

Shadowrun sounds great though i havent played it since the edition based on d6's.... not sure what that was? Possibly 2nd, a system I remember as being so complex in places that I spent a week writing a program to do all of the vehicle customisation calculations for me - right down to the extra cargo capacity from reducing leg-room and the speed/acceleration/load balancing for drive-by-wire Yeah, our GM was the only guy that fully understood the rules. I learnt the basics but nothing more than that. We had to rely on said GM, which wasnt good as he was harsh

If 2nd was anything like 3rd- and I've heard Shadowrun old-timers say that it is- it was indeed pretty complex. 4th is somewhat streamlined in comparison.
Chargen for equipment-heavy character archetypes like riggers, street samurai and hackers can still be kind of overwhelming, but other character types have it easier.

I dont know my email is the same but maybe u got sent to my junk :-P
Haha I think there was a point in time where me & Lin were posting so much here that if we were one person we would've needed to clone our self. Plus he doesn't like turtles as much as I do.

Plus he doesn't like turtles as much as I do. Your junk is a fine place to be. I wasn't complaining. :-) And that's true about turtles, and you avoided the awkward philipino waiter issue. AND OMG TTC!! Dude, long time! You know we still bring up your quote from the dictionary for opaque? ;-) Good to see you Sir! Hope to see in you in action!

Long time, indeed. Long enough that I'm not actually certain what quote you're referring to- refresh my memory? :-)

I'd love to play a PbP Fiasco. Like I said, I'm not much into rulesy RPGs these days and Fiasco might be nice for PBP because the length of the game is limited by the system itself. If anyone is interested in trying it, I'd be happy to teach it. I forgot what to do when I want to propose a game though, there's probably a board for it somewhere around here. . .

I forgot what to do when I want to propose a game though, there's probably a board for it somewhere around here. . . Lin, the protocol used to be just put up a call for players, usually in the campaign status board (which I see you've done) and when you get the requisite players just PM an amin if not already one yourself and make the category and boards for the game. I'm happy to do it if you need it. I'll read up and see if it's something I'd like to try. And TTC, now that I search for it, I'm not sure it was you. It might have been Deekin in the dragon slayers game. Regardless, it's good to have you here sir.

I have arisen. I was just thinking about this place believe it or not, about 3 weeks ago I popped on and reread all of my first game on here (Fangor's 3.5 game Random Acts) and Rinascimento. Vemu, I still talk about the game when I get my nerd on with a friend that plays RPGs - definitely my favorite homebrew.
I also started rereading Idiot's guide to being evil and was really impressed with shakes' open city game and regret my terrible posting schedule.
Jeez in the 7 years you have been gone Kman I have... Graduated high school and university. I am currently (and have been for about 2.5 years now) an English teacher in South Korea, but I am looking forward to going back stateside and getting my graduate degree in linguistics.
I have been essentially out of tabletop gaming since I fell off the map here. I would love to come back for a game or two (or even pick up an old one... hint hint Vemu). I still want to know how we were supposed to handle that crazed priest and shark in the Utatti Asfet game (the one that I believe stole TTC's soul/he got eaten by a possessed shark).
I'll be checking back frequently to see if something sparks my fancy, or just to keep in touch.

Hail, folks!
It's been a while since I've been here. Don't let the new mask fool ya! I used to be called Arclite around here and generally played as badly as a drunken walrus, when I was able to get games going at all. TTC I still remember our M&M2e port of Zero! And that damnable AGA game I let die out.
Dropped in on a whim, and was shocked to see activity! Too bad I can't remember my password, or I'd be back in my full "glory." *sigh* Things fall apart. Anyways, great to see the crew and maybe get a game or two rolling around here!

Afraid I can't reset your password from the admin pannel Arclite - no option for it.

Hi guys, I'm feeling a bit stupid for responding so enthusiastically when Kman revived these boards about a month ago now, and yet not having found the time and rest to keep up with the pace ever since. I have been lurking for a bit, and maybe in time I will be confident enough that I can really commit myself to a game, but for now, I'm afraid not. Still, I'm very happy to see all this gaming going on here again, with all the old (and new) folks! Game on!

Afraid I can't reset your password from the admin pannel Arclite - no option for it. That's ok, I'll make do. I'm pretty sure that the email address that it's attached to is in electronic limbo anyways. I've reinvented myself in real life a few times over the years; doing it in a virtual space shouldn't be an issue.

It's good to see so much fresh activity here. I'm reading along as I get time..
