Having found something that works, Vadania will try to keep using it. She'll step around the flame and send another arrow though the flame at the demon. She doesn't expect that she'll be able to do that again though. She'll have Ylva fight back as best she can.

Ylva engages her attack while nearby Scar bites at the rope and tries to pull it away from the group - though he cannot simply crew through it in a single bite. (it's an attack, it doesn't generate an AoO unless he is grappling it, and as it shares the same square as Vadania he doesn't need to move)

Where does Vadania wish to move? (D is the demon, F is the flame - it's gotten a bit tight)

Ka'lions axe once again takes on a fiery aura, though once again he is also chilled by the shadow cage as he strikes through it (4 damage) - the demon has perhaps chosen a poor place to stand.

I thought Vadania and Ka'lion traded places an order for Vadania to shoot through the flame. But even if they had, the spot Vadania would've moved into is currently occupied by the Warrior. Since archery through the flame isn't possible, Vadania will take a step away (to E3) and summoned her last bolt of boosted lightning on the demon.

The animated rope finally catches up with Vadania, lifting her off the ground and pinning her to the ceiling, though it is barely 8 feet about the ground.

To her surprise however the demon does not press her advantage and backs away from the flame and Ka'lion, with her bow discarded she resorts to a scorching blast of dark fire that knocks the wind out of Ka'lion (31 damage from scorching ray - eek)

The remaining warriors continue to strike, wounding Ylva once again as her vision clears. The warriors flanking Lynette also strike back but she quickly whirls around killing both with well placed strikes from her enchanted weapons.

The glow of the silver flame seems a little brighter now, or perhaps it is the shadow cage growing weaker. The group knows it once trapped the demon and it seems to be the key to wounding her - the last two blows struck against her have had a particularly visible effect and as she stepped away to cast her spell it almost appeared that her progress was hampered by some invisible force trying to hold her here.

Ka'lions AoO is a miss - he is still fatigued and the demon has mobility. His second attack strikes home though he once again takes cold damage as he enchants his axe (3). Scar cannot get around the far side of the demon with a charge move (has to be in a straight line) and takes an AoO (5)

Lynette ducks away from the remaining warriors, unable to reach the demon past the others but able to cut at the rope holding Vadania up (reflex save to land on your feet)

The demon is beginning to visibly burn with a silver light that seems to drag it slowly towards the flame.

Ka'lion charged - he should of had no difficulty getting to H1 for his attack, he doesn't want the demon to be able to back into the corner and he was trying to make sure Scar had a clear attack where you put Ka'lion Scar should of been able to hit - he's faster then Ka'lion is and they where running the same distence. In any case Ka'lion dies this turn. He has 7 points and if the demon hits him with another spell he's going to servive it and thats what the demon would use.

A charge has to be in a straight line directly at an opponent, to the closest square that you can attack from - you can't charge around an opponent.

Vadania praises Ylva but has her hold of the archers just a little longer as Vadania moves to the far side of the flame and shoots an arrow though the flame and over Scar at the Demon, hoping that her aim is true and that this will be enough.

Ylva brings down her target but Vadania is not so fortunate and the demon continues its retreat, clearly hampered by some force emanating from the flame. Brushing Ka'lion aside as the flame around his axe quickly fades her focus is instead on Lynette and Vadania as she scoops up her bow and looses another shot at the elf (12 damage)

Lynette moves to follow but the still animated rope catches her ankle and pulls her back.

Since the demon obviously feared her attack, Vadania circles the flame and tries it again. She's also glad that she's the target of the demon's attacks. Thanks to Ka'lion, she was in the best shape to take the blows. Meanwhile Ylva takes on the last of the archers.
