The two axes have nothing in common, Ka'lions axe is a large-ish stone ax-head to which he has crudely affixed a handle while this new weapon is a curved throwing axe with a rune encrusted silver blade.
As the group look over the items, wary of the creature below the water, the axe is passed from person to person until it reaches Garrot at which point a dim magical energy begins to cycle around the runes. When placed down or passed on the glow stops, only to restart in Garrot's hands. The size of the weapon does not suggest a halfling creator, though it is light and easy to wield in one hand.

"Looks like it likes you," says Vadania to Garrot. Meanwhile she looks at the green sword. If it's not magical, then why is it green? Of course, that question would be easier to answer if she knew anything about making swords.

To Vadania's eyes it is a steel blade, or something akin to steel. If nothing else it and the armour may have some resale value.
(it's a knowledge-planes for information about it, though the DC is quite high)

You mean the blade is lighter then other steels and immune to rust and is found in underwater green steel buildings? The players familiar with it. But it doesn't look like something Ka'lions grandmother would have lying around her house.

You mean the blade is lighter then other steels and immune to rust and is found in underwater green steel buildings? For all Ka'lion knows it could simply be a coloured steel. It's a non-magical sword, just one with a little backstory for those players who choose to invest in knowledge skills. It is not notably lighter than any other sword of its size.

"Ka'lion finds the color pretty. That's All and the sword weighs is whatever you want it to be. But if the metal is that same unknown underwater race mentioned in the books it's weigh should be 2/3rd that of a weapon of it's type. If that was pointed out to him. His interest would change immediately. I'm not sure what he'd do with it but having it reforged into dark green steel chainmail comes to mind."

"Well Garrot, is there anything else you wanted to search here?" asked Vadania. "I can't do the crocodile again today, so I'd rather stay away from that pool."
Vadania is intrigued by the green sword. Green seems like a good color for a druids sword, not that druids typically carry long swords. But her wooden sword was even more appropriate. Which reminded her that she was still carrying around her old sword. She realized that she should sell that and save on weight (though that was not really an issue as long as she was traveling with Garrot and his construct.
OOC: Have we come up with any way to lock the construct from the outside yet?

Garrot is bemused by the axe and seems distracted by it. He then replies and says "Nothing that I know of here, I was just coming to see the man in the water! Let's go back and talk to the blacksmith if you like. Or we can search further, either is fine by me" He swishes the axe back and forth as he talks, not really noticing he is doing it.

As the group is only a short distance from the main camp they return there to rest, far safer than lingering close to whatever lay beneath the water.
As they travel Garrot notices that the axe does not always glow and with a little experimentation finds that it reacts to the proximity of the scrolls recovered from the body - and also those arcane scrolls carried by Lynette. However it seems that it does not function at all in the hands of the others and Lynette suggests that perhaps the weapon is a mage slayer or the tool of one. The detection range of the axe is very short, barely 10 feet, but Garrot finds that if he focusses his mind upon the axe he can sense the location of the scrolls over a greater distance and even see some variation between them.
When they return both Xana and Kara (the older priestess) wish to speak with them. Xara first informs Vadania that Altar has sent word, using one of the sending scrolls he had taken with him. The men who had kidnapped Eldon had made their way to Clearwater at first appeared to seek alliance with the undead, but then turned upon them - a mage of some power at their head and a drow amongst their number. The limitations of the sending spell meant there was little of detail beyond the facts of the events and that Eldon still lived.
Kara then states that she had been unable to respond as the power of the flame within the monastery continued to fade, and with it their power. However the aura of corruption that had claimed the other priests appeared to also be receding; Kara fears that the power of the flame had been shackled to spread the corruption only temporarily until the flame itself could be extinguished and with it a great threat to the demons. While it's power still flowed out across the land however the survivors here could not risk an assault lest they too were turned.

Vadania commented, "So we should go there tomorrow morning, right after we refresh our spells for that encounter. I've confirmed the back way in, so we don't have to storm the gates. Now the question is which spells would be best."
"The other option is to go tonight with what spells we have. But I think the demons forces are going just as alert during the night as during the day."

Vadania frowns with a confused look on her face, "How do we attack tonight if we rest till morning? When we attacked the crypt we were fighting goblins and controlled clergy. I'd expect a lot more of the controlled clergy. There might be undead, or might not. We'll be inside so entangle will be useless. What else do you want to know?"

"We go to the area, a few hours away. Get some rest until morning then head in when most people there are still asleep. As far as spells take cure minor wounds, detect magic and detect poison, delay poison, hold animals, flame blade,, flaming sphere, fog cloud, summon swarm, quench, cure moderate wounds and if we are overwhelmed sac one of those spells and summon nature's ally. I'm currently limited to 2 first level spells and 6 cantrips." said Ka'lion
