I noticed that the vast majority of our characters are military (four army and one navy). Maybe we are together to do missions for our side in some conflict, or for the general defense and wellfare of our homeland. The cleric very well could be our chaplain of our company or something. The Halfling might be a "Reconnaissance Specialist" working as an independent contractor and assigned to us. What do you guys think?

Technically my character worked on a mercantile vessel, but I suppose I didn't make that entirely clear. Sounds like a good deal, though. I'd say general defense probably works best.

I would be okay having that be my background if we went that direction.

I would be okay having that be my background if we went that direction. As seen on the introductions page, It looks like I am not going to have a military background to start.

Uhhhhh What's your cover story to do your mission assigned to you by the Thieve's Guild? I can think of one really easy way for you to do your mission. THIEVES GUILD: "Your mission is to protect this woman who is about to go on a military mission. She also must not know that you are doing this." Option A: "Alright, I will get myself signed on as a scout or a cook in her outfit so I can keep an eye on her without her knowing." Option B. "I will just follow them around and hope nobody notices." I don't know if option B is really going to work.

as an idea : a scout my work best because i was a scout in my backstory. so we both could team up that way. also armies need medical ( aka bishop) so that gets us mostly together buts its your backstory so its just an idea.

Chances are my character is going to be at the Tavern almost everyday as he considers life. Except for Thursdays. So if you guys go there and haven't met him yet, well, there he is.

So it looks like that I will be joining the military after connecting with the other non military members. Since it still needs to happen, I was saying that I will not be *starting* with the military. So, my background does not look like it will be military based.
