So how is the game so far? Have you had enough, or do you wish to continue adventures in this world?
If you continue, it will be as second level characters, You each earned 160 XP from slaying monsters, 40 XP for completing both quests (20 per quest), and 100 XP for actually ending the kobold threat (slaying the dragon).

I'm having fun, and wish to continue but over time I just realized Elir did not fit with an army band like group.
I think a paladin could work better but since I play them a lot recently Ranger could still fit ok and I would like to play that class.
That way we won't lose the nature guide aspect of the party.

I'm enjoying it, although the pace can be overly slow at times.

I'm going to try to keep my games going at a reasonable pace this year. We'll see how well I do when things get busy again...
Since the two players we've lost were both playing soldiers, I don't see this game continuing as a an army band. Rather I see Beth leaving the army and joining the others as a regular adventuring group. It will be up to the group to decide who the leader is (if they even have one).
So instead of being ordered to take a mission (which only applied to the 3 solders in this case anyway), you'll be able to look at the offers and threats and decide which one the group wants to pursue. Then I'll flesh out that adventure.

Ok well that's ture but I still think Elir will go find his brother. He may end up needing to send for the party somewhere down the line ( possible adventure at a later time ).
I would still like to make a Ranger if that's ok.

That's fine, go ahead and make a 2nd level Ranger.

I'm in to keep going. I want to find out more about kamon so ill continue her but i want to take a level of a magic class to enhance her combatant status too. Eh, multiclassing as a caster probably won't much enhance your combat abilities in this edition, especially since your archery combat style doesn't apply to spell attacks. Any cantrips you get will just do less damage than your bow (unless you're taking those melee weapon cantrips from the Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide, but those still wouldn't benefit from the combat style), so most likely you'll just get additional options that are less effective than what you already have. Paladins and Rangers can mix casting and combat pretty effectively though; they have some spells that enhance weapon attacks. You could also keep going as a Fighter and take the Eldritch Knight archetype to gain spells without having to multiclass; that would get you the most feats.

A suit of armour and a big stick seems to be working well so far. Need to brush up a bit on my magical healing though.

I think I will be bowing out of this campaign. When we started I was itching for more, but I am now DMing two other games and can't put a lot of focus into this one. Lincoln will be returning to the thieves guild, it appears.

Well if beth is taking a rouge class she will need others next to her targets to get sneak attacks.
I'm wondering if ranger/monk could work out ok.
Just looked over it the idea won't work as well as I was thinking.

So I'm now wondering if we need a tank more or dps. So normaly I build a character out not always for need but in this rare case I need bit of help trying to figure what class I should play/what we need. For we are losing a tank and dps and idk what we need more.
If I'm going close combat barbarian would not be a bad choice for a tank
Monk can dps as can ranger. I would like imput on this thanks.

Make the character you want to play. If the group is lacking in some roll, I'll be happy to bring in an NPC to fill the missing role (it gives me a character to play). For a tank, perhaps Drog (half Orc Fighter) or Mika (Tiefling Paladin).

You could just continue playing a Druid if that's what you want. They're quite good at tanking with the Circle of the Moon. Wild shape functions as ablative armor in this edition: you gain the hit points of the creature you transform into, and if you're reduced to 0 in animal form, you revert back to your normal form with the same HP total you had before.

Elir is hell bent in helping his brother out of his messes/mishaps. Not saying druid is a bad class the moon is amazing yet I feel given who he is he's not going to wish to stay.
Our dm brought up also a great point:
I'm going to start off with Barbarian stay in it for 5 lvs then at 6th lv go multi class into monk and by 4th lv I'll meet pre recks for being able to do so.

Chaotic Barbarian seems like a strange mix with a lawful Monk. Though I don't think this version has alignment restrictions for classes.

OK, so Elir is being replaced by Thrack. Kamon-DO , Beth, Bishop, and I think Aegis are staying. We're losing Hurick, Shen, and Lincoln.
That means the group will be: Tiefling Wizard Human Fighter Human Cleric Human Fighter Half Orc Barbarian.
Looks like a solid group for combat. Does the group want to recruit someone with lock picking and trap disarming skills? Or perhaps wait till you decide what you want to do next as a group before you decide if you need to recruit particular skills.

ahh that would have been fun to rp figuring out the first time of how to settle our new friend down in different ways but I could see that be repetitive more than 1 time.
