Thrack met Elir out in the Wilderness during down time, and Elir recommended the group as someone to join up with that has tolerated Half-Orcs in the past. So Thrack comes to the group and asks to join.

The solders will be going back to guard duty. I'm assuming that Beth decides that guard duty is boring compared to adventuring, so she quits the guard to join the group for their next adventure. But if Beth's player has a different idea, we'll probably go with that.

That's right, you added a level as rogue. I had forgotten about that. So it looks like the group has all the roles covered and doesn't need any NPC's.

I want to make a shield out of it that i will have enchant later.

The dwarven armorer looks at the hide and agrees that there's enough to make a shield when it's cured. He can recommend a master tanner to cure the hide. Once cured, he'd be able to make it into a shield.

Curing dragon hide isn't easy, since you want to leave the scales attached. It takes two days of work by a master tanner at 2 GP per day. so 4 GP to get the hide tanned.

Teldorthan Goldcap charges 20 GP to turn this leather into a shield. When he is done, the result is a remarkable shield. The workmanship is of very high quality (he is a master armorer). Even before it is enchanted it grants advantage on DEX saves vs acid attacks. And it is a very impressive shield.

So total cost is 24 GP for a black dragon hide shield (where you supply the dragon hide).
